its an 05, the grille is the newer style and the duramax badge is still has red writeing, if it was newer it would be blue, and the grille would have the solid chrome peice all the way across the center

@ViolentBiscuits your wrong gm designed the engine first then asked Isuzu to come in and consult as Isuzu has more experience with industrial engines the duramax is designed to be a little over kill for whats it's rated for to ensure it last's go to and ship yard or industrial working environment and you will see alot of long lasting Isuzu motors and Mitsubishi's too
