Do you call those globes in Australia? We call them bulbs. (Specifically those appear to be golf ball bayonet caps.) Here a globe is a glass light-shade that goes on over a bulb, particularly on ones with multiple arms/branches or wall lights.
I'm not actually as obsessed with lighting as this comment makes it appear.
Could someone please tell me why Tom has the freznedsrsly account as well (if Tom himself told me it would make my entire summer)? Is there a difference in material he talks about on each account. I'm confused and this is actually the first time I have stumbled across this other account.
It doesn't look much brighter... but then again, what do I know? I used to have to use a stage light just for vlogs until I moved them into my computer room just like everyone else and now I'm no longer special.
I was about to rattle on about these magnifico engery saving lightbulbs you have just bought but at the risk of sounding like a total knob who has no social life and has been completely absored in their job at a lighting store - i shall just say...
hah. As for myself I have a 2 light thing but one of my bulbs burned out and I didn't have money to get a new bulb and I got so use to the dimness that when I did get a new bulb I didn't like how bright it was. So I took it out. x_x
-the "cool, looks like it's on" part, reminded me of Daxflame :-| and this really seems like one of those DVD extras where the director talks about some trouble they had while filming... :O
