  • You should test big SUV's. Like the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition. After all, they are the most likely to roll over, and they have terrible roof strength.

  • thanks god i got a volvo

  • thanks god i got a volvo

  • I love how the windsheild supports the roof, which is suprisingly stronger than the metal lol

  • LOL! seriously, what is the point of putting the dummies in there?? It's not like this mashing test is realistically reproducing a rollover crash..

  • @Motorfordtoyota Smart is owned by Mercedes, a GERMAN manufacturer, not French.

  • daewoo sucks its not real chevy

  • The aveo is made in Korea by daewoo, it's not an American car..

  • Aveo is made in Korea by daewoo dumbass.

  • That Aveo crushes like like sugar desolves in water - quick

    loll

  • That's why I put a roll cage in my car.

  • Cause the Aveo is a piece of shit korean car! Luckily in 2012 or so, they will be strickly American built, not a fucking pos Korean car!

  • @Motorfordt you are all abut toyota not chvilll

  • @roozie11 no, I dont like Korean cars, like toyota, honda, GM, some fords, and some chryslers.

  • @Motorfordtoyota Toyota and Honda are not korean. If you list the rest as "korean" then you need some geography lessons

  • @Porsche1080 I know this, thats why I said, I dont like Korean cars, I like Toyota and Hondas the best.

  • @Motorfordtoyota k but there's always mercedes if its within reach of your wallet

  • @Porsche1080 I dont like German cars other than their sports or supercars. Nothing else I like from them, Thats why I like Toyotas, Cheap and the best.

  • @Motorfordtoyota Smartcars may suck like Korean cars but they are actually made somewhere in either the U.K or Germany

  • @EckoHawker They are made in France by mercedes

  • @EckoHawker umm i dnt kno wut planet you live one but korean cars have some of the highest ratings in crashes.

  • @Motorfordtoyota umm its not tht the aveo is a korean car its still an american car just built in a chevy plant in korea (it helps jobs) its not tht korean automakers or a korean automakers plant made tht car, cause korean automakers have good ratings.

  • Once people find out what unsafe, weak-roofed SUVs they have been trustingly putting their wives and kids into, they will avoid these bad brands for a long time. Think how mad people will be when they realize THEIR SUVs WERE NOT SAFE and neither were their wives and kids!

  • I'm glad i have a Smart fortwo

    :)

  • I'm sure your car is perfect, and just the righ thting for you but have you ever though of what might happen in an accident between you and any other 'normal' sized car on the road? I feel that, when hit by a regular car, your car would flip and ricochet thus, cause a lot of damage to your and your organs. But I'm sure you get great milage.

  • @Ryantravisaol Yup I have a Smart Fortwo and it is a CDI so it does 87mpg I also own a Perodua MyVi SE

  • @Ryantravisaol wow I just read this many months later and I thought, never drink and type on youtube. WEEEEE

  • @Ryantravisaol The thing is, this would probably be safer than other small cars in a crash with a "normal sized car".

  • Obviously, the advanced technology in the Chevy Aveo uses the driver's spine as a structural element.

  • i wonder how will they test soft tops & convertibles LOL

  • most convirtables have a pop up bar to protect... and the windxheild frames are usualy stiffened, but yeh there going to do worse obviously

  • @CrazyDave650 :pop up bar=curtain airbag

  • dude that would be such a fun job getting to crush cars for a living

  • @yayayak I know, right? I want to destroy shiny new cars but not buying them myself :P

  • Well my prediction is that auto makers are going to throw roll cages in their cars in the mere future to protect their drivers.

  • glad I don't have an aveo

  • well i guess convertibles are pretty much not even on the scale with this test

  • lol yeah. Just don't do reckless moves with a convertable.

  • well convertibles do have roll over bars but i do think the IIHS is going to test the VW Eos because it has a hardtop roof standard to see if the roof will protect
