This guys is smart. He didnt do the stupid thing of using collars/springs so he could drop the weight. Most people would hurt themselves in this situation.
@BurninPacalolo lol you do because the colored weights help the bounce in dead lift, there's no reason to let go and bounce them (they're covered in rubber), I do feel like a dumbass though because I'm so use to using other weights but I realized people like you would say stuff like that, I was just expressing my opinion.

@SuperOriginalGuy The "deadlift weights" are called bumper plates; weights that are coated in rubber so in case the weight falls, it won't damage the plate. Many people recommend someone purchasing just bumper plates for a serious home gym, so they don't have to get basically two sets of plates.

For anyone who knows how to properly fail a bench press when lifting alone this is pretty much textbook. You don't need spotters, and absolutely do not put clips on the bar.
Why don't you just get a buddy to spot you ? Knowing that your not going to injure yourself gives you the confidence to to lift a little heavier. You will not get any stronger without a spotter there help you push them few extra reps everytime

Well as far as the benchpress yep but the whole vid wasn't a lot of people can learn from this video how to get out if that situation nice technique on rocking the bar and dropping 1 plate on each side so you can rack it

1. You don't need a belt for bench press, it's only there to make sure you don't snap your spine.
