First thing you do

1-Get at least ten logs

2-craft them make bench

3-make sticks and ONLY make a pickaxe

4-Get some cobble and then upgrade and build more tools

i always start minecraft like that:

chok down 4 trees make wooden planks make 6 sticks make crafting table make wooden picaxe take 12 cobblestone with the pickaxe make stone pickaxe stone axe and stone shovel

dig in the ground and make stairs find some coal and go back up

chock 53 trees with the axe make wooden planks from them build a house make torches spend the night or find wool to make a bed

i all ways make house where i spawn.

first i get 3 wood i make 12 wooden plank =>crafting table, 4 sticks => wooden pickaxe then with it i get 3 stone => i make stone axe then i cut more wood.

It is a lot faster

no you can find dungeons on peaceful but they won't spawn any monsters

you need to play on easy or higher in order for them to spawn monsters.

and there is no such thing as a creeper dungeon.

The difficulty setting doesnt affect the number of chests, though it is true that mobs do not spawn on peaceful. At max there are two chests in a dungeon (sometimes a single large chest), on rare occurances there's only one chest or none. Therefore it was even more of a rare occurance that you found an empty dungeon above sea level! -win-
