  • I really wish I could make like ten trillion stars. ^-^

  • Five Stars. You guys are amazing.

  • he did a small performance for some all girls school and our studio was invited. we asked him about the bench, and he said after one performance he was so anxious and exhausted his knees would almost buckle and he was afraid of falling down. its also really sweet looking. he also borrowed our marimba for the concert and at the end there were beads of sweat all over the marimba..

    my friend licked it....lol

pius said, 'hey maybe we should hang out sometime...' he was kidding of course!

  • you two aure really great.

    thank you for posting this.

  • I am a Bach FREAK.. I know this piece inside out and it gave my goose bumps.. superb work

  • this is such a catchy tune :)

    5 stars!

hey does anybody know why pius sits on a bench? just curious.

  • I'm asking the SAME thing. Why does he sit there? Do his legs have problems?

  • im thinking maybe he cant use one or something? like he pushes off with his working leg to get around maybe. idk just a guess.

  • No, he's clearly just getting up with both and moving.

My conclusion: He's a lazy ass. Thumbs up me if you agree. ;) lol

  • you'd think that'd take more effort? idk.

  • You definately don't know anything about playing marimba or about people who play marimba! He's anything but lazy, and I think there aren't any lazy musician. To be a musician, you have to work very hard: it isn't easy to survive in the world of music.

  • That was a joking comment, by the way. I did not mean it seriously.

  • He sits on a bench because he was originally a pianist. You can also tell by watching his hands...his technique is almost like that of a pianist's.

  • I am going to agree. I have had lessons and masterclasses with Pius and it's because he was a piano player and is used to sitting down when he plays. Honestly I think it's brilliant, standing only makes you tired after a while.

  • Why does he sit on the bench?

    Because he's Pius Cheung.

He could sit on a gold-plated toilet if he so pleased, and would not be questioned.

  • hahahaha. very good point.

  • maybe its possible the marimba cannot go any higher and he needs to sit to adjust the height instead of the drumline way of going up to a short snare drum and spreading your legs to adjust to the height lol

  • I think he sit on a bench because that way he feels more relaxed,

You don't need to use your muscels in your legs,

  • In the very begining, there was a little mistake, but otherwise, it was great!

  • Fantastic interpretation!!!!

  • Just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this with everyone worldwide!!!

  • Uf, excelente video. Mi momento preferido es a partir del 6:38 más o menos, cuando Pius Cheung hace en el bajo un "re" pedal. Seguid así.

  • Oh gosh!

    It's amazing

I had never seem something like it

    Congratulations for your habilits

  • wow!

  • word casey. also, oemtinasm... they both have more than a future...they already have great careers and are amazing musicians and people. if you want to hear about Pius just check out his album on itunes or go to marimba dot org. =)

  • Why would anyone give this anything but 5 stars? If you gave it less you're totally confused and might consider thearapy.

  • I agree. Good old JS would have been impressed with their talent. Have they performed any other pieces by Bach?

  • ditto! amazing! anyone who could give less than 5 stars is delusional!
