  • YOU CAN TELL SHARUKH USES IT TOO

  • I'd rather have dark, masculine, & sexy. After the "lightening effect" that guy looked like a fairy. As for SRK, he was sexier when he was darker (like in Chahaat). I love brown-skinned Indians like the guy who plays Raj on Big Bang Theory.

  • I think SRK might be using this too. Not unless it's because he stays out of the sun but look at how gorgeous and tanned he was in Dil Se and Koyla and look at him now.

I don't know.....my grandparents did become lighter as they got older because they stayed indoors more often but his endorsement of this cream says that maybe he's used it.

  • Geez the more I think about it the more scary it is if you consider Beyonce and Rihanna dark (which they are considered the lightest of the light Black women by whites and blacks in America) what do you consider Oprah? Goodness. SCARY

  • ROFL The second highest rated comment is supposed to be a compliment but I DOUBT Beyonce or Rihanna would consider themselves DARK skinned.

Wow! Your standard of lightness in India is a lot more scary than I thought, and the so called compliment and dislike of this ad just proved why SRK did this ad more so than the people who actually like this ad.

And Bipasha isn't dark either she's darker than most actresses in India but not than the average woman in India.

  • Darkies with an inferiority complex.

  • wtf...tanned and dark guys are hot tooooooooo...i love tanned luk in guys..fairness makes some luk rather gay.....

  • Its not about wanting to be dark or fair. Its a question of using dangerous beauty creams which only damage your skin in the long run. I don't think any man or woman can turn fair without side effects.. No thank you but I am never gonna use one of these!!!

  • ..he was better dark

  • wat iz the guy's name?

  • lmao. in the beginning of the ad, it luks like they hv put some dark cream/foundation on the guys face... and then just washed it off at the end of the ad. he obviously is a lighter skinned indian. they shud at least make the ads luk realistic. geez.

  • Is he racist? Why does a superstar like him has to endorse for fairness cream ?

  • I have no respect left for SRK. This is disgusting!

  • me neither.... i was his fan until b4 a saw this ad..

i cant believe it..!!! isnt he muslin...????muslin religion is 1 of the few religions where doesn't matter color, race, everyone is the same... he is not even a real muslin...

  • omg!!!!!!!!!! All my views on SRK has been altered thatnks to this ad!!! what an arsehole for doing this ad and what a racist pig he is

  • That sister was damn crazy! "Hi handsome Hi Handsome" was so funny!

  • I think i should use this bleaching shit for the dark circles under my eyes, think it would work?

  • The thing which is working for me is applying castor oil to your eyes every night before going to bed. I have been using this since one week and have seen some difference. They are lighter now. It wont work quickly but you have to do it for a long time. Trust me it will work.

    Fee15

  • LOL. I should too.

  • Why the Fuck did Sharukh Khan do this weird ad!

    Yuck

Bipasha , Beyonce ,Rihana - all are super hot and dark skined!

  • perhaps he`s got a lot money for it

  • @goroshni:

Dark skinned compared to what? A ghost or a corpse? Beyonce & Rihanna are light as fuck. Gabrielle Union is dark. Kelly Rowland is dark. Naomi Campbell is dark.

  • Ugh, stupid commercial. There are beautiful and ugly people of every color. Although I personally find light skin more attractive I think this is because I am white! And if you're brown or black you'll probably prefer brown or black respectively. If whites are 'objectively' more attractive to all people well that's too bad because these bleaching products will give you cancer:( But I think it's more of a cultural thing.

  • omg hahahaha LMFAOOOO... cant believe this shit

  • Shah Rukh Khan himself was nearly black when he started in the film industry. Mysteriously, he has become fair, and now he is telling a whole generation to do the same.

  • thats awful. srk shd really not have done this. these creams are neocoloniastic and its obvious. anyone who says its just a beauty product is being superficial about it- it clearly is a much more sinister thing than just a beauty product.

  • Rasistic..saying that dark is nit as beautyful as lighter skin?STUPID!!!

then again, here in NORWAY there is a big industri selling products to make us tanned, darker..in India it is the other way around...In the end its about standing out from the crowd..vanity ;-)

  • hahahhhahahaha

  • This is disappointing... and then I thought SRK was a man who liked himself for who he was naturally. :/

  • In Africa, women use these creams because lighter skin women get better jobs. To me its infuriating. I am caramel and I love my complexion. The idea that some young girl or boy hates their skin just makes my skin crawl. Shah Rukh Khan should be ashamed for promoting such a backward mentality. People should just accept themselves for who they are, instead of trying to change themselves to appease others.

  • This is so sad! I am not Indian, however, I personally have alot of respect and admiration for Indian culture. I have alot of Indian friends who are "dark" who are DROP DEAD gorgeous. This association of beauty and success with fairness is a poisonous attitude that seems to permeate throughout the WORLD!!! If you are appalled by what you see here, let me tell you, skin lightening creams are popular in asia, africa, latin america.

  • I know! I have friends who have the most AMAZING features, absolutely beautiful, and they still think I am prettier than they are because I'm pale, it's totall bs. It just goes to show that people always want what they don't have.

  • well they r payin him to endorse da product n hez juz doin his job so i dun c wotz wrong in dat.

  • SRK should be a shamed to promote such stupidity. This is promoting colorism. Beauty comes in different ways. This is yet another example of European imperialism and its consequences. India needs to wake up and see that DARK skin or NOT , your still Indian in everyone else's eyes. NO matter how lite you might look get over yourself. You just make your culture look stupid ,trying to be something your not. 95 percent of your asses are DARK , stop worshipping FAIRNESS!

  • I do agree that it does seem useless and stupid... Just like all other cosmetic products and services (plastic surgeries and etc) TO ME it seems a waste of resources. BUT to someone obsessed about their appearance (and believe me, there is a great number of those people) it might seem as a life-saving treasure. There will always be people searching for ways to "improve" their appearance by using creams, getting nose jobs, ear jobs, facelifts, boob jobs, or whateverelse

  • jobs

So why can't some cream company make a few (billion?) dollars off these self-obsessed people?

  • Actually, this whole product is simply about making money. Creating and advertising a product like this is solely to create a market for a product by feeding on people's sensitivities. The scenarios presented in these ads are silly and pointless. In the US, this same thing is done by selling fake-bake tans to light skinned people. In dark skin countries, fairness creams (like this one) to lighten. Two sides of the same coin, but ultimately all about making money.
