Long time WinMo user here (yeah, used all the tricks and tweaks from xda etc.), and also tried out at least 3 Android devices. But it was not until I laid my hands on the Ipad 2 that I realized what I'd been missing! The difference is HUGE, iOS is light years ahead in terms of speed, reliability, stability, user-friendliness. Not to mention the tons of amazing APPS!!

Androids UI is far more advanced than iPhone's UI.. Apple's UI is just so generic like an Emulator/Command Line Shell. Android just did it so wrong by giving away do much freedom and no rules but giving them money.

Now I give them that thru have kept out smooth made apps mainstream popular and fun. The new thing is WP7 which is like a Super Hybrid by taking all that's good from both UIs make all their coded UI that's unique and makes the most integrated UI.

I agree that the Android OS is great and I love that there are so many Androids to choose from, but calling the iPhone is just nonsense. Its also a great phone with a solid OS, why do so many fanboys hate on competition? I personally like multiple Androids and the Android OS, and the iPhone 4 with its iOS. iOS and the Android OS are definitely my 2 favorites.

I consider myself a smartphone "power user" and i only go through about 500 MB of cell-phone data a month. Granted most places i go have Wi-Fi..

Assuming this cloud tech uses some type of compression, it shouldn't be that big of a deal that people are making it out to be. Afterall, we're talking about simple text information and cell phone images that shouldn't be over 500KB.

Sounds like the "cheap iphone" will be ~99$ on contract, and the 3GS may possibly be free with a new contract. No one really knows at this point.
