What in the world? Could we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop comparing artists' talent. PLEASE. I mean there are like 15 different names mentioned on these comments. Jonny Lang is JONNY LANG. Not Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, SRV, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson or whoever else you can name that has any blues influence in their music. This guy has worlds of talent that is HIS OWN. Not anyone else's. No blues artist plays so they can be compared although I'm sure they'd take them as compliments. C'mon guys. Really

Just a note for everyone, he plays this song because he feels it, if there is a competition with him against someone else, he will not be easy to beat, learn to listen to music with soul, not hostility to get money, real music lies in the soul, people want quality, not quantity, take Lang for example, he doesn't release album after album, but he takes his time writing and finding the right note for each time he plucks and sings. Jonny Lang is continuing what SRV (R.I.P <3) Started. Long Live JL!

Jonnys way better than Mayer on the guitar and jsut a better all around musician in my opinion. Comparing jonny to SRV is just stupid of you though and you should be slapped for even thinking that. I have everyone of Jonnys cds and have seen him live so I know his music pretty well. SRV is one of a kind and Jonny doesn't even come close!

Anyone who says he isn't one of the best guitar players ever has obviously never seen him in concert or listened to much of his material or watched his performances online. It doesn't do justice to just listen, IMO, you need to see it to believe it. I saw him at Jazz Fest and I knew I was witnessing history.

John Mayer is talented but sorry.... if you are talking guitar duel, Jonny would simply decimate him. If you are basing your estimation of Jonny Lang's capabilities on these unplugged sessions, you need to go back and listen to his recordings where he's playing full-tilt blues guitar. Lang is truly one of the best blues guitarists EVER (right up there with SRV). Fact.

@nostrudel I just don't think that you can compare those 2 like that. Jonny may be faster, but John will have the advantage of "touch" in my opinion. You can't fake the touch that John Mayer has. But, without a doubt, both are incredibly talented. 2 different styles, both awesome.
