  • Thank you but i don't think we can play great ball of fire the first day (not in 8min). :)

  • First of all, i don't know english. I'm just tryin'

My question: Do I have to buy differents kinds of srtings if I'm going to change "Low G" for "High G" or just change de tuning? (how do i do this tuning change?)

    How is "Low G"?

    How is "High G"?

PS. I still don't have a Uke, I'll buy one as soon as I get a few more informations.

I play guitar for almost 3 years, but I want to play Ukulele cuz it sounds really awesome!

  • duuude yooouu rooooockkk thannks and giant kuddos !

  • I noticed that when you were playing those songs every 2 strums or so you lifted your fingers off of the frets. I might be wrong but if so, does that have any significance to the sound? Will that also make the songs sound more authentic?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @TrunkMonkey707 i believe it adds an extra sound to give a personal feel to the player, its a chord but all the strings are open

  • Got a uke for christmas... you have officially ruined my parent's day. XD

  • I just bought my ukulele and you completed the joy of the day. Thanks man!

  • Thank you! This was very helpful!!

  • Thank you! Great video and very helpful!

  • This really helped me! And it made the idea of learning an instrument less scary in general. You are so charmingly dorky. (If there is such a thing.) You remind me of my Dad. ^_^

  • So coooooool!!!

  • you have a great sense of humor. this is an awesome video. appreciate this!

  • which type of ukulele u use?

  • Thanks Sir, Wow this was very persuasive , I watched this video and now iam buying Uke.

  • Hi Rick. This has inspired me to go and buy a Ukulele. I want to be able to play an instrument, but need to be able to understand it, without too much of getting into trying to read music. One question though, with your video, you make it look so easy when changing the chords whilst playing, but how do you know when to change the chords, or do you just get a feeling when it's right?

  • Great video txs

  • Great stuff, very encouraging, thanks !

  • Verdammt , ich will nh Ukulele :O

  • you look a lot like alec baldwin

But i cant stop laughing. Im sorry.

I lost it at great balls of fire.

    Omg what a classic.

    bahahaaha

  • can you teach us more chords? your really good.

  • WOW, mind-blown no joke took me forever to find a decent tutorial for begginers, but i finally found what i needed! Your great, now i just need to practice all the chords and eventually get the hang of it, to play more songs.

Thanks again best tutorial ive seen.

  • You are an awesome instructor. I barely started playing a day ago and you've taught me at a great pace, which allowed me to chord the strings so much better. Thank You

  • ha ha ha..... love the uke spin on great balls of fire. made me smile. :)

  • Still after a month finding the f-g-c changes hard! Good job though man!

  • @83Tommygunn take your time Tommy. one of the best ways to practice these is to keep repeating difficult changes until you can do it cleanly without thinking. example F to C over and over..... then F to G over and over. Then C to G over and over... keep doing that until you can nail it every time. You can do it... I promise. Also try to keep your fingers close to the fretboard when making changes. It will make the movements smaller and you'll be better off in the long run. :)

  • Very Nice Tutorial

  • I love this guy. Great instruction. Thanks

  • u need a bigger uke! jst saying... in my opinion when i use my smaller uke, its harder to hold my elbow.

  • Great Balls of Fire needs a G7, but it sound good.

  • first i've to buy me one uke and then come back to learn from u again. thanks for a lesson, it was great.

  • this sounds amazing on my pink gypsy rose uke! ahh thank u! this is great! <3 :D

  • Good stuff!!

  • awsome : ]] thank you so much ; ]

  • I've just got my Ukulele in my mail.

Looking forward to start practicing tomorrow!

  • I have difficulty changing from note to note, i cant gt my fingers onto the right strings in so little time...!

  • @gurlin2fashion There is only one trick: practice, practice, practice, ... To tell you the truth, it takes more than 10 minutes to learn to play an instrument ;-)

  • @ukuleledotde

I love the simplicity of this tutorial and agree %110. practice makes so much more! The one word missing is LOVE! Love your uke, NAME your uke and TREAT your uke. SHE'S a creation of goodness so don't ever let her sit on the sides!! Treat her well and she will be kind to you!!! If you can't spend 20 mins with her every day than (she) the uke, is not for you!

  • @gurlin2fashion

    lol...idk...the way you worded that.

  • Hey,

  • @Blubediblubblub Hättest du bei mir bestellt, wäre ein kleines Anleitungsheft in Englisch dabei gewesen ;-)

  • It's so easy it's ridiculous... :)

  • No it's under 10 minutes :)

  • i love you guy

  • this is truly an excellent lesson, but i think the part on the tuner was not required, just put on a video saying how to tune, because tuning, whilst being important, is not actually playing

  • great video! Danke

  • What's wrong with your voice, you sound weird!!

  • @Std160 10euro? thats so cheap!! the ukuleles here in manchester are 40 pounds!!!

  • @wati1992

Well its a Plastic one from a Electronic store.

Made in China and not really good to play.

But its a Ukulele and its just furniture for me....

  • you made my night <3 Thanks a lot :)

  • that was fun i need to buy the tuner and new string but help me a lot i need to practice !

  • You said to make sure the sound wasn't dull at 3:28, but that seems to be my problem. How would you prevent yourself from doing that?

  • @liquidpromises press harder

  • @TheTracenator Thanks!
