Thanks that helped a lot I've been looking for all of those tips and I found this video and it gave it all to me in one video thanks for makin it easy bro;) !!!!
First of all, i don't know english. I'm just tryin'
My question: Do I have to buy differents kinds of srtings if I'm going to change "Low G" for "High G" or just change de tuning? (how do i do this tuning change?)
How is "Low G"?
How is "High G"?
PS. I still don't have a Uke, I'll buy one as soon as I get a few more informations.
I play guitar for almost 3 years, but I want to play Ukulele cuz it sounds really awesome!
Sorry my large text, sorry my english.. hope you help me. Hug =)
I just bought a ukulele for myself and this is the first video I watched on how I should play it and I have learned so much already from your video. Thank you so much! I hope I look as cool while playing my uke as you do ;)
I noticed that when you were playing those songs every 2 strums or so you lifted your fingers off of the frets. I might be wrong but if so, does that have any significance to the sound? Will that also make the songs sound more authentic?
This really helped me! And it made the idea of learning an instrument less scary in general. You are so charmingly dorky. (If there is such a thing.) You remind me of my Dad. ^_^
Hi Rick. This has inspired me to go and buy a Ukulele. I want to be able to play an instrument, but need to be able to understand it, without too much of getting into trying to read music. One question though, with your video, you make it look so easy when changing the chords whilst playing, but how do you know when to change the chords, or do you just get a feeling when it's right?
WOW, mind-blown no joke took me forever to find a decent tutorial for begginers, but i finally found what i needed! Your great, now i just need to practice all the chords and eventually get the hang of it, to play more songs.
You are an awesome instructor. I barely started playing a day ago and you've taught me at a great pace, which allowed me to chord the strings so much better. Thank You
@83Tommygunn take your time Tommy. one of the best ways to practice these is to keep repeating difficult changes until you can do it cleanly without thinking. example F to C over and over..... then F to G over and over. Then C to G over and over... keep doing that until you can nail it every time. You can do it... I promise. Also try to keep your fingers close to the fretboard when making changes. It will make the movements smaller and you'll be better off in the long run. :)
no matter how much i tunemy uklele pirfect when ever i make chords and im makeigin pirfect i know u also play guitar my ukulele sounds real off and kinda scary is this cuz i need new strings the actuly ukulele is not the best in the word but its not bad at all ? any suggestions
pretty cool lesson just was at music exchange in new orleans messin with one. i play violin and sax think i should resist another instrument 3 sax violin mandolin
@gurlin2fashion There is only one trick: practice, practice, practice, ... To tell you the truth, it takes more than 10 minutes to learn to play an instrument ;-)
I love the simplicity of this tutorial and agree %110. practice makes so much more! The one word missing is LOVE! Love your uke, NAME your uke and TREAT your uke. SHE'S a creation of goodness so don't ever let her sit on the sides!! Treat her well and she will be kind to you!!! If you can't spend 20 mins with her every day than (she) the uke, is not for you!
this is truly an excellent lesson, but i think the part on the tuner was not required, just put on a video saying how to tune, because tuning, whilst being important, is not actually playing
Für den start hab ich mir ne 10€ Ukulele besorgt.. erstmal austesten später dann ne richtige ^^ aber wenn ich das so sehe juckts mich schon innen fingern.. Werd das mal in angriff nehmen :D
Thanks so much.. I'm off to get me a ukuele. I've been thinking about it and you just sold me on the idea. I'm a very ordinary guitarist and I think this simple and beautiful instrument will help my playing greatly.
