@b3rs3rk3ring check that all your filters are switched off on your deck, high pass filters stop bass getting to the speakers. check the EQ settings on your deck too, choose bass booster or something similar
I just bought my Alpine Type-R 6.5 and 6.9 speakers. Also got a Alpine CDA-105 deck. with a 10" JL Audio sub in the back. All being pushed by a Memphis amp, and wired by 0 Gauge wire. It's sitting in my room calling my name waiting to get installed.
Just so you know, there is no such thing as a 52 watt RMS deck.. its 52 max/peak watts, which means nothing. Those speakers are getting about 17-20 watts. You need an amp if you want that power, and to really hear what those Rs can do.
hey bud i got alpine r splits in the front to but in a vs calais how did you put them in the doors like that? because mine are hiding. and you cant even see the speaker because of the cover on the calais doors you should do a video about it?
hey, im almost done with my system just a couple things left and front speakers r one of them i have the 6x9 type r's for the back but how do they sound in person like do they have good bass and sound on them?
@Flam3Nite34 they do not have as much bass as a 6x9 but they will still go strong. these ones are on 52watts so they can go alot better. i plan to bridge a f300 onto them eventually. have a look on my channel for updates of my car ! there are a few
don't run too much bass through them, that's how you blow them! but i love your set up, i'm running four alpine type -r coaxial speakers ... 100 rms, 300 peak x 4 of them so 400/1200. I'm running a crunch 1000.4 ... 1000 peak 500 rms.
how come i have the same speakers but i get like no bass at all?

Yeah, I suppose your country has no crime problems. Here, your park on some streets and speakers would be gone in 5 minutes...
Also, is the fact they may be damaged with some sharp object.
Ejem... waste?

Why didn´t you set up speakers under the door grille instead ?

@supermasterPIK it would be a waist to have a speaker that looks this good hidden away

@robbiexps I think stock look (no speakers shown) is a better way to go.

@robbiexps It's a speaker, it makes sound... You listen to it, with your ears... Who cares what they look like.
