  • Through 21st century eyes it looks like "Raquel goes to Burning Man".

Seriously though, what a piece of ass she is. That is one smokin' cunt right there.

  • This is an artistic spin on the 3-Dimension's song. And it IS a costume/dance from 1970....with a beauty that could sell the water that she drinks...even today!

  • As silly as all this is, Teotihuacan never looked better, or more the setting for some obscure mystical rite... and Raquel is an icon. Creativity was un-restrained i those days. But it is all pretty silly.

I think I recognize the solar and lunar pyramids. I wonder why the director didn't use the memorable Quetzalcoatl?

  • how did anyone unlike this?

  • Wow, Ishtar in technicolor.

  • I didn't know they did burning man back then!

  • She's so gorgeous. Raquel earned that reputation as goddess sex symbol. LOOK at her! Perfect!

  • This was horrible..

  • @DirectMain you have no taste u jerk

  • i must get this dvd

  • SHE COULD BE HELEN OF TROY!

  • Any particular reason why Greek constellations are hanging out at a Mayan pyramid?

  • @tymime

  • @tymime Artistic licence!

  • I reckon Raquel spins off balance around 2:40!

  • All woman...100% natural.

  • Must've really sucked to be an extra on this shoot. Sigh . . . wait, wait, wait. Feature Raquel. Wait, wait, wait. Camera pans back to Raquel. Wait . . . wait . . . wait . . .

  • What the... !

  • Her dancing is superb. Song is phenomenal. God, those were the days.

  • people were during way too much acid back then

  • go raquel @3:10-3:15 - u better work!

  • is this what will happen in 2012? (:

  • @ezelje We're in the Age of Aquarius now. The transition started in 1987 and became official two years ago. Ages last 2000 years. We just left Age of Pisces, a more spiritual sign associated with sacrifice and submission to a greater force (i.e. Christ was born 2000 years ago & Fish is symbol for Christianity). Aquarius rules technology and globalization - hence the general emphasis moving from religion to internet. ;)

  • timeless, splendid, love it

  • insane. in a good way

  • hermosa mujer, beatiful woman

  • she's in teotihuacan in mexico

  • funkyzeit masterpiece!!!

  • tina cole is actually singing this...

  • It switches over to Raquel's horrid voice at the 1:49 mark.

  • an awesome share MinkEye Lashes !!!

    love it !!!

  • Great video, thanks!

  • so very 70's variety show-ish..i loved these shows as a child, they just do not compare anymore...tv stinks. .

  • This is one of my all time favorite TV Specials. See also Raquel do The Space Dance, from this Special. There are a few songs from this and Ann-Margret's '68 TV Special on a DVD called VaVaVoom.

  • The VaVaVaVoom DVD is indeed where I nabbed these from...

  • This is a pinnacle of something or other. Good taste and restraint - not.

All those folks at the end had to climb all the way up to the top of that pyramid for the helicopter shot. Or maybe Raquel, at least, got to be flown most of the way up on the same helicopter.

They neglected to depict the sacrificial victim having his heart cut out in the traditional ceremony, however.

This is a scene from a 1970 TV special that starred Raquel. Never saw it till these clips on YouTube.

  • I didn´t know this video exists¡¡¡ so it was a tv special? when was it performed originally??? Its wonderful, Raquel Welch, Aztec pyramids, mexican folklore, customs, great¡¡¡

  • its so bad its great!!!!

  • so so awesome. raquel is beyond sexydome.

  • Far out and groovy! *****

  • Raquel was such a great dancer that she really learned how to dance classic ballet and integrate it into modern dance and rock and roll.

  • Believe it or not, that is TINA COLE singing, who was on My Three Sons and also sang with The King Cousins. It was supposed to be a secret that Raquel would not sing (though later on Raquel sang occasionally in her career) and it was not generally known that TINA COLE would be doing the singing for her. Strange I know, but true.

  • I loved it!!!!!!

  • is this a freak out ?

  • This is such a classic TV Special, she is so beautiful, the costumes magnificent. They wouldn't let you film there now I'm sure. The ultimate in cool kitsch camp. BRILLIANT. Check out similar at my channel LushBudget

  • This is up there with Apache!

  • Not Apache... Aztecs ;o)

  • If only there were frogs battling toads for the conquest of the new world, I would think this was Jodorowsky.

The more hearts Raquel broke, the happier I am.

  • That is not Raquel's voice for most of the first half.

  • You are correct, it is the singing voice of

TINA COLE who co-starred on the old tv show MY THREE SONS, and often sang with her cousins. At the time of the RAQUEL WELCH TV SPECIAL, the producers did not feel that Raquel's voice was quite up to par, so Tina Cole was called in to do most of the singing for her. Strange, but true - later on in her career, Raquel sang for herself and did pretty well - but it's Tina Cole singing here.

  • Thank you for letting us know the true vocalist on the first part of this song. Always enjoyed Tina Cole on The King Family Show.

  • You are most welcome - it was also said at the time that Raquel was not happy with the producers decision to use another voice -

  • AMAZING VIDEO !

Raquel did it fantastic, the pyramids of my country look great, and the psychodelic parafernalia mixed with the aztecs... Very cool, I love the last take from the air.

    Thanks for sharing it.
