  • whats the name of the 3rd song

  • 2 all of da haters: Capoeira is a beautiful art and has way, way , way more kicks and techniques than some other martial arts, and i practise Capoeira myself, and i know other martial arts to, so i do know, and Capoeira for me is the best coz u dont only fight, u have fun and dance, its a mix, its not all about fighting, and trust me all of the kicks are extremely powerful and if u get hit u can seriously get knocked out by 1 kick. This is Capoeira Agbara - Fermento

    P.S. Amazing vid ;)

  • That was tight.

  • wats da name of the song

  • I am just starting capoeira now and I LOOOOOVE IT! I just have a fear of flipping and doing upside down but I am trying to overcome my fears. I can't wait to learn more! I am sore from practice yesterday. lol!! <3

  • @marin1092 Essa musica e "magalenha" artista e Sergio Mendes :)

  • capoera = brazil

  • Oi !! alguém poderia me dizer qual é o nome da primeira musica que aparece??

    muito obrigada ^^

  • Capoeira is a beautiful dance...but it sucks to fight

  • @supermodelfashonista unless u hav a good understanding of it....

  • @supermodelfashonista One Kick is K.O.

  • i am so glad that they included capoeira in my after school programs, best thing in my life

  • capoera was a dance in africa and brought to brazil by slaves so in a way africans created it

  • it was a martial art that the slaves had to disguise as a dance so they would not be punished for practicing fighting

  • i am brazili abd the capeira angola notwas created by master bimba the capoeira was created by master bimba is regional of bimba

  • so wtf is capoeria?

is it a dance or a type of fighting form?

or just for kicks on its on catogory

  • its both but it is mainly a dance. capoeira was used in ambush tactics against invding soldiers. picture those kicks with knives on either ends of the shoes capoeiristas used to wear... does it seem more deadly then?

  • this is capoeira regional or contemporary?

In my opinion, this version of capoeira is influenced with gymnastics, angola is the original style of capoeira. but still big up to the ppl in the vid for skill :D

  • there is no original type of capoeira :|

angola was created by master bimba...or whoever it was ....sometime ago :/

  • angola was the traditional form of capoeira, the kind that was intially practiced by slaves and freedmen. capoeira regional was what mestre bimba created and taught. today, many schools incorporate both forms in their teachings.

  • bimba created angola what i recal it to be :|

  • @Puolakanaho Actually, Mestre Bimba is famous for being the father of Capoeira Regional because of the way he transcribed the moves of capoeira into actual techniques, and because of the various "sequences" he created. his aim was to turn capoeira angola from an organic, formless fighting technique into a bona fide martial art. because of mestre bimba, capoeira was removed from the penal code in 1937, and he is the reason we capoeiristas are allowed to train freely today.

  • i think we should thank lincon for that thou

  • lol your opinion is your opinion. and breakdancing evolved from james browns foot loose i belive lol. and i do like the brazilian beats. they relax you lol

  • capoeira is where break dancing came from. except capoeira has alot better music. lol

  • with martial arts elements

  • what is the complete name song of that paranaue , I know they are many different versions of paranaue , I like this version.

  • "paranaue" -- yea this is a nice version, mellow and chill...

  • awesome

ive being in capoeria for some long time by now and its really fun!

my group is called agua de bebe and my master is called kiko!

  • kiko is my master's name too..

  • Amazing..Truely amazing

  • if u dont like it dont comment plz.who the hell do u think u are!try fightin 1 of them if u want to know how much damage those kiks can do!!its just the show here but it can be really painful if he wanted to fight for real

  • fantastic!!capoeira is the perfect art in my opinion..almost everything in your body moves..its a mix of everything..and by the way i totally agree with the person who said that if you have nothing good to say about this art then dont fucking watch the video leave it alone..and try to respect and give way to the ones that do appreciate capoeira..

  • @phatiffsoriano please don't take offence to this but i don't think you should judge a fighting style by how good it looks or by how good of a work out you get from it because in a fight a martial artist doesn't want to expend large amounts of energy just to win a fight. The key to effective martial arts is not wasting any movements. all that flipping ,while making it hard to predict your attacks expends large amount s of energy. Yes, it may look "cool" but that doesn't replace self defense.

  • @RecliningWhale and anyone who think like this

(I didn't read all the comments)

I agree with you, the problem is, capoeira IS NOT A MARTIAL ART! It's not fought, it's played.

Sure, it's origins date back to the slaves who fought oppression and couldn't be seen training a martial art, but nowadays, it's a game, a dance, it's something much deeper in Brazilian culture than a martial art for self defense.

Sure, if one of them needed, they could just cut the Ginga, and kick one's ass! ^^

  • @thiagout it's Considered Martial Arts man. martial arts keeps your Body Healthy and balanced. There's more but don't want to type Alot...

  • @YourTheBlame ok, it is a martial art in this aspect, maybe this didn't came out as I intended. What I meant: It's not a martial art in the sense that two people fight each other, competing for points, like in tae-kwon-do and many others.. It's much more like what I know about kung-fu wushu (not much! sry if I say something wrong), you don't actually compete fighting each other, but showing off your moves, your technique.

But you can still have your ass kicked by a master in capoeira or kung-fu!

  • @RecliningWhale "20 second capoeira knockout" look it up on youtube thats how capoierists fight in a real fight

  • @thedarklordx I just saw it and have to say that guy got out played. That guy failed pretty badly he should have been able to easily block and predict that attack (I did)

  • @RecliningWhale suuuuuure you did

  • @thedarklordx Yes, I did, and everybody else should be able to as well that kick was a large and slow move which contained a lot of movement necessary for the pivot

  • @RecliningWhale yeah that was super slow took about 4 seconds to do and hit 4 times

  • @thedarklordx Precisely I'm glad you finally understand. 4 hits in 4 seconds is 1 hit per second (Duh) and it only takes a human about 1/10th of a second to perceive an attack and start responding so in terms of 10ths of a second 4 hits in 4 seconds is just to slow.

PS i didn't actually take the time to go back and actually check the guys real hit to second ratio but instead decided to go along with what you said in reference to his speed.

  • @RecliningWhale he was doing the only thing he could do

    backing the fuck up

    he ran out of space

if he went CLOSER he would have GOTTEN KNOCKED OUT FASTER! as a general rule you DONT GO TOWARDS things like that but he did seem like a noob at fighting

regardless capoeira isnt bad the outcome would have been similar for anyone in his position

  • @thedarklordx I never said Capoeira was bad, and in martial arts it actually smarter to go towards them because so you can close the distance thus making his kicks much less effective. You DO NOT back up from a kick unless you have enough room to continue to back up from any follow up kicks. If you back up from a kick that kick has more room to build up momentum speed and power. As a martial artist I am fairly confident in my abilities to both fight and analyze a fight.

  • @phatiffsoriano As someone who has looked at many different martial arts and only studied a few, none of which are Capoeira I have to agree with you. Even though I dont practice it I can still enjoy the beauty and tradition within. People who bad mouth other martial arts art real martial artists. they are just people who have been trained to fight in one style or another.

  • Everyone that comments about how non realistic this art form is, go and try to fight a master of this. Its hard to duck and weave some one kickin you in your shin btw. Boxers have no way to protect their legs other then moving away and running.

  • @sugarplumboo That what kick boxing is for.

  • Beautiful!

  • For all those who have nothing good to comment about capoeira can screw off, if you dont like it in the first place why bother watch the video here?

  • Capoeira is meant for show... twas started to disguise fighting practice. It helps you build up your flexibility, agility, speed and strength... basics for most fights.

  • Axe Capoeira is the best! :D (=-song-=)

  • The first song is 'Macaleha' - Grupo Axe Capoeira :) I have it on my comp.

  • The first song is maghalena by sergio mendes

  • and the second??

  • paranue. im not sure who its being perfromed by its probably one of the most popular traditional capoeira songs

  • hu knows the name of the second song??

  • I Don't Know The First But The Second Song Is Called "Paranaue" by Serapis Bey.

  • Paranaue was made up by brazilians, it talks of a city in brazil which people do capoeira.

  • it is great vid dont get me wrong, i just dont find it fast enuf

  • It's called "slow motion"...

Watch the end of the video, isn't that fast?

  • the first song that is playing in this video - what's the name of it and whose it by? thanks

  • magalenha is the name of the song, by sergio mendes

  • muy gracias!!
