Yes it is true. The US actually spends 600+ billion a year.

Russia has about 48,000 armor units.

USA has about 30,000 armor units.

These numbers include Tracked and Wheeleed MBTs and APC units.

Majority of College Students that join the military join to become trainers or something higher than an ordinary soldier or marine. Here kids also join the military after highschool for a couple of years (depends on what they do).
