Starlite's first appearance in the cartoon is done very well!

And my spine tingles towards the end of Part 2 when he tries to leap to aid Rainbow Brite against the Dark One and plummets to the earth. Rainbow is crushed till the Spirit of Light tells her to save him and she remembers she can use the rainbow.

This movie was one of two: Rainbow Brite the Beginning of Rainbowland (part 1). I loved this movie...probably my favorite since I was little. I never realized Rainbow Brite was Anime...yuck

Aww! I loved this. One of the only episodes of Rainbow Brite I have taped when I was a kid was this one. Can only hope they one day release the series on DVD like they did the movie Star Stealer.

I remember watching this when I was little. Yes, it is indeed a movie. I think it was before star stealer, and only aired on television. It's basically the origin of Rainbow Land.

I remember that at the end the baby (that Rainbow Brite found) made color come to the world. I have no idea what the title was.
