"LGBT" and "gay and lesbian" have the same amount of syllables (not to mention "LGBT" is shorter to write) and yet so many people only use the latter. -sigh-
thank you for posting this! i worked on the production and i just wanted to suggest that you clarify that this is just a TRAILER for the much longer film. -sam
I wish it wasn't so hard being homosexual. I mean everyone determines love and respect or at least the decency of good manners. Everyone knows what is right to do, but sometimes our own insecurities and stigmas make us hurt someone. There really is no benefit to such intolerance. It doesn't get you to heaven sooner. All the lessons we are dealing with are dressings for eternity.
I think I can relate a LOT to this story. I've grown up in a near rural location in the south of Portugal and yes, homophobia is an issue back there and I did thought a lot about suicide. Even these days sometimes when things get really tough I still think about it.
This needs to be mainstream, like watching Bambi, in every state in the U.S. and in every legislature where ignorance still reigns regarding this topic. Until the masses understand it is not a choice but just another characteristic like being born with brown eyes, being left handed then the witch hunt of hurt and pain will continue.
This video is incredible! Amazing job~all involved. I commend your successful effort to enlighten straight people. Brings tears to my eyes every time I watch.
@annbayardlowreymasse - A few of us, so-called straight people, are "enlighted". I don't hate nor disapprove of LGTB people. To each their own, and anyone has the right to express their love and their sexuality in way that fills them. I feel sorry that, because of homophobic scum, people are suffering to the point of thinking about killing themselves. We humans call ourselves "homo sapiens" (wise men) and we cannot even accept we all are different?
5:44! That's me! (I look really different now!) This whole experience taught me so much. Please watch this! It's so inspirational for me. I mean, I'm straight, but I really felt like I needed to support this issue.
it's really nice to see a video about homophobia with a specifically lesbian point of view. i feel like all videos are either predominantly gay men or only gay men. it's to the point where i hardly even know how the other side feels and what unique struggles they go thru because they are a gay woman and not a gay man.
also, thank you to that teacher, i can't believe her courage. it's so frustrating she got fired. she should have been promoted.

I think maybe it is difficult for most people to accept gay or lesbian in my country. But for me, I respect every person's life style.

i liked your video but there were no boys so you get no insight into the life of a gay boy so your missing half of the info
