In my Opinion He 's The best tabla player have ever seen. I think, that He is the: Massala in the Groove... He is master in controling the ONE.... Wich means that he does not follow the one.... He knows exactly where he as at. So he RULES the one... In terms of 1x2x3x4... (matra). No Discussion..... Start counting from the start of this video and you will find out what I mean... He is the ONE!

Well Tari Khan has developed his Boles to a very high standerd. Zakir ans a style and musicality and fluidity all of his own. Ther is no real contest. Tari Khan has a style like a razor and Zakir Hussain and a style like a river. They are bith just ausom players.

I am told that razor sound is due to him using alot of Delhi two finger technique mixed with the standard Punjab technique. Whereas Zakir Hussain is more Punjab oriented.

the first time i saw him playing dhire dhire. He is open sound specialist, better than anyone. he can play na and better than anyone! Btw, his dhire dhire were fantastic too :)
