It's more likely to happen with rifles, especially when dropped so that the stock hits the ground at or near a right angle. I'm not that familar with Glocks, but if I remember correctly, they do have single-action mode. Don't try this at home.
@takinahud Glocks aren't single or double action. They are striker-fire. They have no hammer at all. A glock hitting the ground cannot go off. Glocks have a safe-action-system trigger, which basically means you have to fully surround the trigger with your finger and pull for it to fire.

The guys trying to carry out this hit weren't trained killers or even out-n-out experienced street gangsters. They were just some random goons, and if you ever see somebody who isn't used to handling guns regularly try to shoot accurately, you'd know the difficulty involved. The 2nd guy was shooting at Tony moving, and if you pause the video, and see where his boy got hit, you'd see that that's where Tony's head was a second before. Then, in shock he moved closer but Tony grabbed the gun.
Junior should have used those old guys that were blind but still ,lethal to do this hit, they had hitmen working for them, Tony was going to use them to whack Johnny Sack but called it off after Ralph was not killed, they would have been more efficient than these two black guys.

If they had both gotten out of the car and gone after Tony together they would have stood a chance at killing him, i remember when New York ordered the hits on Tony, Silvio and Bobby and both Silvio and Bobby were gunned down by a pair of hitmen at the same time.
Bobby was hit first and never stood a chance alone, Silvio was attacked and shot even though Patsie was with him, then they left, if both guys had shot Tony together and left he would have been killed before he could fight back.

@Momokabomo It's unlikely that that would happen, but in single action mode (the hammer cocked back) a pistol could fire if it fell and hit the ground just the right way. It's more likely to happen with rifles, especially when dropped so that the stock hits the ground at or near a right angle. I'm not that familar with Glocks, but if I remember correctly, they do have single-action mode. Don't try this at home.

@takinahud Glocks aren't single or double action. They are striker-fire. They have no hammer at all. A glock hitting the ground cannot go off. Glocks have a safe-action-system trigger, which basically means you have to fully surround the trigger with your finger and pull for it to fire.

The Sopranos has to be respected because it is a gritty portrayal of how the mafia is in the 21st century and quite well done with good dialogue, superb acting etc. The only thing I didn't like about the show was the therapy parts.

The guys trying to carry out this hit weren't trained killers or even out-n-out experienced street gangsters. They were just some random goons, and if you ever see somebody who isn't used to handling guns regularly try to shoot accurately, you'd know the difficulty involved. The 2nd guy was shooting at Tony moving, and if you pause the video, and see where his boy got hit, you'd see that that's where Tony's head was a second before. Then, in shock he moved closer but Tony grabbed the gun.
