I agree with you there, but somebody else pointed out to me that shares in Electricity Boards were being sold off at the time. Still, the presentation IS a bit "programmes for schools" - as if we DIDN'T know what to use it for and needed some pointers!!
What!! Timmy Mallett was fronting commercials AND appearing on the Wide Awake Club! Just joking, Timmy (if you're reading this) - only chose your name as you seem to have a light-hearted attitude to life!
Reference the ad, afraid I don't. And I WOULD have remembered something like that back then!
Fry and Laurie ("Compact and Bijou"): Yes, I've got that one!
Gareth Hunt ("Blend and Roast"): Yes, got those those too. The man with Sarah and Diane in the horseracing Nescafe ad is the late Tony Anholt from Space 1999 (which I remember first-hand) and Howard's Way (which I never watched!)
Will this madness ever end? Heh heh...just kidding. I think I may have the Alliance & Leicester ad where his medallion gets stuck in the cash machine.
That makes two of us then! Sproggitt and Sylvester is the ficticious building society where Stephen Fry gets his medallion caught - although he is the last person I would have cast as a medallion man! I've also got the Fry and Laurie ad where the voices are mimed by two young boys - classic!
Ooh, I've just noticed that the second man in the Arial Rapide ad is the actor who plays Jack Osbourne in Hollyoaks - he looks really young! :)

Ironic that. "Clint's acting days may be over." He's had his best successes since then, critically at least.

Do you recall the one with the load stereo, which Fry plays when Hugh Laurie comes round to his place? "Compact and bijou..."
Didn't know Sarah Greene was in the later versions of the Nescafé ads. Do you have any with Gareth (rhymes with) Hunt?
