Hey Dudes i need some help, my silvertop is having an idling problem, when the engine is cold its idle is flactuating real bad, and even if i'm running at high speed my engine would die. But when my engine is warm its idling is fine as if nothing is wrong,, i already changed my spark plug, oil and still nothing happened,, need help guys

@hughestom1212 damn the cooling sensor failed i changed it and nothing happened,, dude what should i do with the idle control valve??

@SoL21jeanne on the top of the inlet manifold there should be a small black rubber plug pull it out you will see a flat head screw top. turn it until you you get good idle speed. if that fails you should take idle control valve apart and clean, use petrol and clean rag and NOTHING else. good luck dude and ignore those haters thats a sweet motor ive had loads and loved all of em.

@lucarseneault J'ai personnellement un Blacktop dans ma voiture d'été. Même brassé ça se tient dans le coin de 6-7 litres au 100 en moyenne. C'est excellent mais bon la consommation est proportionnelle à la performance aussi...

Lose the filter Short ram is not good for the motor, Make a custom CAI (cold air intake) and you get a way better power gain!

I am looking to do this swap in a month or 2 i have a 7afe in it right now.. are the mounts all the same? i know the front left mount looks a little diffrent.. wiring? you mean the dash to the ecu? any advice/ Links would be verry appreciated. Thanks

@bandit2290 You'll need Tercel 96 power steering system, custom tranny support (6spd), modified throttle wire support (or a longer wire), give the fuel pump and climatisation 12v when key is on, complete blacktop harness and computer. I think i forget some details but i'm not sure. For 1800$ and a lot of time to swap it...i don't recommand it, i got one and my automatic 7afe 96 (10hp less than 93-94) is not that much slower compare to the blacktop...

I know that fact, but I do the swap just by pleasure. This morning here the thermometer is about minus 28C! (-18.4 F)
