  • if only the HMC was still worth the price :/ ... nice job tho.

  • Nice clip!~ Just bought this camera - still learning menus. Can't wait to shoot with it. But.... fell in love with your clip and wanted to say so. Nice!~

  • @sevenyes7 Thanks! Glad you like it. You'll love the camera. It's probably one of the best you can buy for starting out with in videography. It's not too intimidating, produces a nice picture, rugged, and very reliable. I have a 7D and some GoPro's as well, but I still break out this camera for road trips/on the go stuff.

    Enjoy!

  • really enjoyed that :) and the bit with the dog is very cute lol

  • @CjwDnB (this is my new profile) thanks! that little fluffball is amazballs fun.

  • @CjwDnB I love that dog. She's so awesome!

  • it looks so noisy and grainy in low light scenes and oversaturated and over exposed, did you color correct it?... anyway i like most of the shoots especially the exterior shoots in the forest

  • @DanielHidalgoA Yeah, they're color corrected, but I didn't know what I was doing then. I'd make a color change and think to myself, "oooh, that's pretty cool looking."

    I know better now. haha!

  • Employee discount at Staples??? Thats whats up.

  • sweet. our newest comedy/action and effects film was shot on a panasonic hmc 150

  • Great vid. I'm looking to get this cam for my next indie feature. This is def. the cam.

  • @maskedfilms thanks! enjoy the cam

  • Eh, excuse me what's that song called and by who is it?

  • @amateurstuff "Annabella"

    from EMMA HOPE

Performed by Kim Sorenson and Ian Nelson

  • you could really benefit from some white balancing. lots of this stuff looks really yellow.

  • I really like your footage, and your style... great camera and great editing. I've been shooting with a 5D, but want an actual video camera for longer shots, and for doing weddings and event stuff, where I could use a zoom, and quick pans without blowing it out... your video convinced me that the HMC-150 is what I'm gonna get. David@RandDFilms

  • @DCAdams Thanks! I didn't think this would become that popular (even though 1000 views is like needle in a hay stack on YT) of a reference for the HMC-150. Everything I shot during my trip in the video was practically the same settings from out of the box, but like I told the guy earlier on here, I eventually branched out and discovered better settings to film with, and the results are even better. It's an excellent camera for practically anything. Extremely durable and strong too.

  • How did you get it to be wider then 16:9???

  • @Jetstorm2k In Final Cut Express there's an "effect" called 'wide screen.' drag that file/effect over and onto the desired clip in the timeline. double click on the clip and then you can choose what ratio width you want.

  • @Jetstorm2k He cropped some extra off the top and bottom, so there was actually a loss of information.

  • wow great quality. i have this camera but i cant seem to get as good quality as this. I use sony vegas to render. any suggestions? btw are you using an adapter?

  • @AshKilamande Thanks! It took me a while to branch out and try some of the other setting on this camera. I shot this video in 1080/60i, but after working with the 7D I've started getting better results with my visual textures and so on with this camera. no adapters for the HMC-150 (too expensive right now) and I edit/render with Final Cut Express. I'm going to start using the both of the cameras a lot more though.
