The near B&W is because our camera had trouble adjusting to it's white balance setting in the Ice white of the snow .. if you white balance in the am your pic's will always be fine ;) great vids btw .. keep em comming.
@dinnerandashow Ha Ha! I am a wildlife biologist, and I work in forest and widlfie ecology and management. I spend my time thinking about critters, wetlands, forests, rocks, water, fire, etc. Good job. Stressfull though. Everyone wants a piece of the pie.
@ChrisRBennet Thanks for that tip Chris. I checked the Julbo website and it looks like the Zebra lenses for sun glasses are non Rx? I need RX unfortunately. Glacier glasses frames are needed (like their Colorado or Micropores models) because they don't have a big curve. The new style frames are usually too curved to fit an Rx lens into. I may be wrong but I will ask the optician shop next time (I need an Rx upgrade now anyways).
Great video! I splurged on a whim and bought a pair of anti-fog googles from MEC this year. They do perform well and keep much of my face quite warm. I'd love to find a face shield for my nose and mouth like you have!
@kgdblade That face mask I was using is a "Lavalwool" brand. It is a full balaclava model, but very thin, fits loose (I have a fat head and hate tight head gear), and works very well. I also really like it because it is stretchy enough that I can pull it down under my chin for drinking, eating, venting.
@hobbexp Hi Fedde! Ya the mask is funny looking – setting the new fashion trend! That nice little lake I think has some trout in it. I hope to try some fishing there next winter. (But I am a terrible fisherman – I like to move, making Km’s on snowshoes and skis, and seeing country!)
@steintanz Hi Tim! Ya it’s a constant hassle with fogging. My retinas have been burnt too many times and I get snow-blindness, so I have to wear Rx sunglasses. And my nose has been frostbit too many times, so when its below -20C and windy, I usually need the nose protection – and I love it!

Julbo sells glasses and goggles that are both photochromic and anti-fog. Their zebra lenses work really well. You may want to check them out.
