One of the crazy theories was that it was a woman... But yeah... Personally, with how he killed, it had to be one of the suspects that was a doctor...
i think that one of the most believed theories was that Jack the Ripper was actualy the Royal Families Doctor...don't know if you know this but there is a movie on it called From Hell it's very good and if you're interested in the subject i'd recomend it but it's just one of the theories
@supermariosonica Steel Ball Run supposedly takes place in the alternative reality created at the end of part 6, so Gyro most likely is this new reality version of William the same way that Johnny is the new version of Jonathan and Diego is Dio.
Even though it had a sad ending and I usually don't like the type of manga this was based off of, I found it really entertaining. ^.^ Thank you for sharing it with us.
I still don't get it. What's the common between hamon and ripple? In the manga when they explained the technique they refered to it as ripple or something else, but not HAMON?
Looking back at this I've gotta say that between the time I began reading this series and now I've come to see a lot of bands/artists referenced that I actually enjoy. There's a lot of old rock, which is mainly my favorite kind of music, so there's a lot there for me to like, Araki has a raher good taste in music as far as I go. Speaking of JJBA, I've really gotta get back into reading the series. I just completely stopped on series 5, I do like it, I just haven't taken the time to read it.
The name Jack the Ripper came from a letter police termed 'Dear Boss'. It clamed how the next victem's ears would be removed. This sort of did happen as the next victem's earlob was partly removed. Though later the police dismissed said letter. But the letter they believe was from the real killer came along with a box containing a kidney. The last victem before that letter was missing a kidney.
No seriously, Tonpetti's gotta be related to Gouki/Akuma.
He has a dodge move were he skids away without moving his feet, and his instant kill involves him hovering towards you on one leg, followed by a savage beatdown.
It's very obvious is name is based off "Straights" from "Dire Straights," but isn't spelled exactly as such; much like "Zeppeli" or "Tonpetti" (which could be "Tompetti" if you use one of the crazy Hepburn romanizations.)
Also, sorry for this long ass comment, but I tend to ramble, lol.
Straizo's name is ストレイツォ(sutoreitsuo) as opposed to ストレイツ (sutoreitsu.) So, it's pronounced "Straigh-zo" in English, as the "tsu" small "o" emulates "zo" in Japanese for foreign names. (You can actually hear it pronounced this way in the "Jojo Timeline" which covers Part 1 and some of Part 2, which is an extra in the last of the recent Part 3 OVA DVDs.)
@HAVIBABIBU Actually Dio is playable. He's only usauble in 2 modes though. The 77 Rings Knight and if you complete all the extra battles...you unlock Dio Mode! Where you play through the story from Dio's point of view. Unfortunately there are no cutscenes for it; just battles
XD Is that a 100 Crack Fist reference I spot? I know nothing of the series, but I DO remember that hilariously awesome attack. AATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA! :D
Jonathon's heat max DID always remind me of that move too.

As I've said before, Dire looks a LOT like an older version of Polnareff...so maybe he's french?
masaruten 3 years ago
The letter presumably written by Jack the Ripper, "From Hell" was signed by "Catch-me-if-you-can, Mr. Lisp", refering to the officer in charge.
