Here's the thing: When my girlfriend feels bad, i take care of her. When she's sick, i take care of her. When she's stressed out, i take care of her. Whenever my friends need someone there for them, i stand up and take it all in so that they can go on with a lighter weight on their shoulders. But you know what the problem is?

Nobody ever takes care of ME. Often us guys don'\t have anyone to listen to us, or take care of us when we feel like shit. So we just want to be taken care of for once.

I'm sure you're right in a lot of cases. It seems like for a lot of guys it's taboo to be vulnerable and need other people's help. Maybe being sick is one of the only times its "OK" so some guys might tend to go a little overboard.

I hope your girlfriend takes better care of you!! One thing I noticed with my hubby at least, is that you guys need to let us know more when you need a shoulder to lean on, and not feel bad if we try to simpathize or feel for you when things are rough.

No kidding = you are sick and you still have the house and the kids and the meals and the laundry and the bills and the trash to deal with. They are sick and the world comes to an end. I don't get it. My ex husband claimed that his tummy hurt more than mine did when I delivered our children. Without anesthetic. Yeah. Right.

My man really doesn't like being sick. Sometimes he'll let me help him when he's sick, but I think he much prefers taking care of himself.

Because they are big babies! They need to be babied when they are sick. All of 'em. Except MY man...he wants to be left alone, mostly, when he's sick. I'M the baby who wants to be taken care of. LOL!! You did great with the editing. I knew you would love it. ;)
