  • longest formula I've ever typed in Excel ! but it's work, lol thanks man !

  • You are welcome!

  • excellent tips!!!!! even grad school data analysis class does not teach me this.....i was told to buy Minitab myself..........

  • I am glad that it helped!

There is basically not many calculating and data analysis tasks that Excel can't do...

  • couldn't you manually type this in?

  • Wow...What an incredibly arduous formula, but, my teacher said the stem and leaf could NOT be done using formulas in Excel. Thank you for the lesson. You have now helped me twice

  • Please show your teacher! And remember: almost anything can be done with Excel!!

  • nice videos man. but ouch! isn't there any simplest way to do this?

  • No, it is just the ouch way. You really have to be tricky with excel sometimes to get it to do what you wnat.

  • you sounded like adam lambert and you video helped me! THANKS

  • You are welcome!

  • I found you a bit too over enthusiastic at first , but this is one of the most useful things ever! Very helpful and clear I take back what I said.

  • I am glad that the videos is useful!

  • I was wondering how would the formula change is you need to do a Stem & Leaf Chart using numbers with decimals?, I thought as much as the COUNTIF cond is pretty much the only change but I cant figure it out

  • I've figured it :3 silly me it was so easy, thanks for the video again, great stuff!!!

  • I am glad that you figured it out!!

  • Zeros

  • you are the BEST. Thank you so much. I cant even express how helpful this was. <3

  • You are welcome!

  • I love you!!!!

  • Thanks!

    Excel and love are good!

  • Thanks!

  • You are welcome!

  • I'm impressed by the formula! :-) But I can hardly imagine a situation where I can use it...

  • Some people like them because they are sort of like a Frequency Distribution (see shape of data) and they are sort of like a dot plot (individual items stacked on top of each other) and it has all the detail (unlike FD and DP).

  • but what if the number get pretty large? let's say we are dealing numbers such as 1800, 2109, 2025, and i would want to put my stem as 18, 20 and 21, wouldn't it be crazy if I derive the fomula for the leaf from 00 all the way to 99?? is there any other way I can do the stem and leaf plot?

  • I did not forget about you - I was just on vacation.

I just made a video for you addressing your question. The title is:

Excel Magic Trick 376: Stem & Leaf Chart for Big Numbers

It may be about 20 minutes until it is fully proccesed

  • this is insane.....grt work

  • Dear gandukabacha,

I am glad you liked it!
