Hey - trying it now.... except I didn't have salsa or pineapple or peaches - so, I substituted the following: 1) small can of crushed tomatoes 2) 2 fresh tomatoes 3) 1 chopped onion 4) 1 can of Mandarin oranges... it's going to be a Valentine's surprise for sure (actually - anytime I cook it's a surprise)
My husband and I have had a pressure cooker for quite some time and I've always been afraid to use it! Then I watched this video and we use it a lot now! AND we love this recipe!
Hey Noreen! I made this for my parents tonight for dinner on my weekend back from college. I used boneless chicken breasts and threw in some mixed vegetables (brocolli, cauliflower, carrots, and corn) with it and made somewhat of a stewp (lol), over rice! This is the BEST thing I've ever made for them!
My parents want to thank you for making me interested in cooking interesting homeade meals! :P
This is great. I actually got the same pressure cooker a few months ago and really like it, but haven't found many recipes that revolve around the electric models. Thanks!
i never thought about the corn on the cob in a pressure cooker! summer's commin and im going to try that! the chicken recipe looks amazing too! thanks for all your VERY informative vids!
Yum, Yum, Yum, and I'm so glad your back! I'm going to make this recipe tomorrow night for sure. That is, minus the hot stuff. I just love this, and have no idea why I stopped making it. Great reminder. Bless, Sheila
Oh, thank you so much, Noreen & Rick - I appreciate your uploading the pressure cooker recipe. P.S. That pork chop recipe was how I found you, am a loyal fan and the rest is history - Love you and your family. You have helped feed mine more times that you could imagine. Haven't been to McDonald's for supper in 2 semesters!!!!!!
Im headed to scope out an electric pressure cooker! My Aunt Kathy has one and uses it all the time, whatching you sealed the deal! Im getting one too :)
@Monicasdestiny I got mine new from HSN. I got one for my friend on ebay 2 years ago for 70 dollars and I recently purchased a new one from an ebayer for $50.00 it is still in the box. I wanted a second one because nothing cooks corn on the cob like this pressure cooker and in 12 minutes! Good luck, I hope you find one. Noreen
@atticus9799 LOL...I'm right there with you. I think I'm down to my last 3 pints of salsa and you can bet they're hidden away! I have a few quarts of tomatoes left so I can still have tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Ah, spring. I can't wait. We're gonna make a run at 70 degrees here today. I hope it's not some cruel joke and that another arctic blast is around the corner.
Thank you for making this video. I like all your videos but as I said before I just got that same cooker. In-fact I have in my first meal now. I am making beef ribs. I hope they turn out ok. I am just worried about not having the proper amount of liquid. I put in 2 cups of beef stock. With the stock I am concerned that it may be to salty. How do you decide how much liquid to put in? I would love to see some more videos using this machine. Thank you so much. I really enjoy your videos.
@Diva63113 Jeanie: yes indeed this is a Wolfgang Puck Bistro pressure cooker. I love it. I have had mine for about 3 years now and use it a lot. I originally paid around $150.00 for it I bought one for my co worker on ebay for $70.00 about 2 years ago. She is a single mom with a little time so I thought this was a nice gift for her. I also recently bought myself another one off of ebay brand new for $50.00. You can get them cheap if you know where to look! Thanks for watching! Noreen.
Hello Noreen, I have made the stove top version of this recipe and my family and I loved it. I would like to know could you also cook this in a slow cooker?
@Heatherzblueyez1975 Yes! I have done this in the crockpot with great results. This is a good way to have it done when you get home so you can eat quickly after walking through the door! Thanks for watching and commenting! Noreen
