Once you've seen a few Rock promos, you've seen them all. That's the difference between him and the others I've mentioned. The Rocky chants are a product of his popularity as a character and are irrelevant; people used to get just as excited when Hogan spoke. It doesn't take a great deal of effort to find Hogan promos with people chanting his name. Is Hogan a great mic worker?

Dude, he gets those chants because he ASKS for them. Anyone can do that. The Rock has a very interactive style of cutting a promo, which is why the crowd gets so involved. Whereas most other performers tell a story, The Rock leads the crowd in a sing-along. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but if you want to know how he does in an environment that demands creative input... just look up RAW 3/28/11. Cena made the Rock look silly. He's nothing without his old catchphrases.

@Tom6093 Rock wasn't scheduled to appear in Monday night Raw. He can't just fly there when he feels like it. It was a decision made shortly before the show(you know, Wrestling takes a lot of planning), so yeah, the Rock did a fine job of pleasing the fans the best way he could.

I'm so happy, no matter how long he ends up staying, that there's finally a guy on the mic doing the "funny" stuff who is good at it, Cena should take notes in my opinion

The Miz is the opposite. He has great charisma, but his in-ring work is very average. Del Rio is another good one, he could have a future and the crowd has already put him over as a heel.
