Your only advantage was the CVT. The Accord is using a 5AT, therefore it will lose some acceleration time because it's shifting from gear to gear, whereas the Maxima isn't. Maxima gets what, 5.4 seconds 0-60? The Accord is a full size sedan therefore, more weight.

About the TL... What a liar. C&D said the TL does 0-60 in 5.2 and is faster then all the cars in its class around the track. Edmunds,Motorweek,autos, And EVEN ACURA Gives 0-60 in 5.2-5.5! 0-100 13-13.9!

Yee the only reason the maxima beat the accord is cuz it has the sequential gears thing. the accord lost alot of speed through the gears. and it was catching up at the end hey?and he let off. dude CVT only works if u let off the gas. trust me, ive driven the accord and i know how it works. close race though. both great cars. i prefer accord.
