@Whitedoggy24 i think because he accomplished so much already and he wants to try other things. I think he will still end up trying some competitions but since training takes up much of his time, he can't really do other things if he does.

Why is Phelps going to retire at 27? I don't get it. Jason Lezak was 35 when he won the gold in Beijing for the American team!!!!!
