  • That commercial sucked

  • Disturbing but fun commercial

  • You NEVER put the final boss in the game commercial.

  • but...can it play crysis 2

  • Samus and Boba Fett are the best bounty hunters!

  • I have an NES, a GB and an SNES. That is all I have. I don't want more video game systems.

  • @IcePalaceIsIcey ಠ_ಠ

  • Am I the only one who still plays games on my NES and Game Boy? :P

  • who agrees with me that this would have been way better on gameboycolor?

  • @THELASTREDMAGE It wasn't invented yet

  • Wow, they showed the final boss fight in the commercial! I hate when commercials / trailers do stuff like that.

  • Holy shit i remember that commercial that i was like -20 years old!

  • This Creepy Pixel Face should be in the next Smash Bros.

  • This is one of the few exceptions where the sequel was superior to the original. It had better graphics, less looking around, much more fun. It may have been B&W, but nobody in 1992 cared. How else can you explain the massive popularity of gamebody, and that it actually surpassed the original NES? Classic games live forever.

  • I use to think Samus was a guy. But Metroid was my first game.

  • JUST JOKIN

  • This looks.............AWESOME

  • i playd this game wen i had my gameboy advanced sp becaus my bro gave it to me becaus he had the old gameboy

  • I wish Samus would hunt down that creature in 0:32.

  • it never seemed to me that there were a lot of good Game Boy games--it's not like I was going on a lot of plane rides as a kid or anything, I didn't need a portable system, and it was so weak compared to the NES

this one was pretty good though

    this and Zelda

  • Boo! This commercial does not accurately portray Metroid II's storyline.

  • damn... i forgot how bad ass the graphics were on that thing... i need to hit e bay up for one of those. even though my cell phone can emulate all those games XD

  • i pee in the shower

  • @WangChongHoe same lol

  • Why did they show the final boss in the commercial?

  • i think im about to cry

  • Wow, for an old commercial, the quality is amazingly good.

  • Be VEDY AFRAIID!

  • Troll fight!!!

  • Best commercial EVER for one of the most overlooked and underrated games EVER !

  • The Game Boy Did Not Have A BACKLIGHT!!!!!!!!!

  • @YugiLovesWWE The Game BOY LIGHT I DO OWN does HAVE A BACKLIGHT !

    EAT THAT SUCKA !

  • lol that one metroid travelled through space and had sex with itself

  • What is that father brain or something?

  • destroy obey destroy xD

  • @Romdan2

    Destroy or BE destroyed. -_-

  • the volume is a little low. When he said 'one blood sucking metroid' it sounds like 'one f******' metroid

  • at the end, it sounds like fuck you-ture is in your hands.

  • This game and this commercial both ownzzzzzzzzzzz thanks for the memories of my youth.

  • This was my favorite Gameboy game back in the day...I played the thing non stop...and of course, everyone wanted to borrow it, but I had a staunch no-borrow policy with this game.

  • @Scike You should replay it now man. How fun were the boss battles btw ?

  • If iI ever find one in my friendly second hand store I will buy it. Nice stuff for my Game Boy Advance.

  • Say is that David Warner doing the voice of that guy?

  • Does sound a hell of a lot like him.

  • My third grade year was devoted to playing this game. It looked really cool on Super Gameboy as well.

  • How clever to show the final boss in the advert

  • Wow. At the time this came out, being able to play those games on the go was HUGE!

BTW, I is not for destroying, weird face.

  • you know what people asked how one metroid survived and were saying it didn't but I don't think nintendo has to explain themselves it's just a game. An awesome game at that...

  • at the beginning

    be afrrrrrrraid be very afrriad

  • the future is in your hands? more like ancient history is in your hands LOL

  • i was thinking exactly the same thing

  • Damn that's creepy

  • How come Metroid II was released on Gameboy instead of NES?

  • haha...family guy quotes...always fun ;)

  • @Jac2Mac because the gameboy is portable?

  • @Jac2Mac

    To promote the gameboy more.

  • @Jac2Mac If I had to guess it would be that nintendo was already gearing up for the Super Nintendo, maybe a sequel for the NES wasn't on their list of top prorities. But, it is odd that, given its success, that it would be given a sequel 7 years later. Who knows?

  • @Jac2Mac If I had to guess I'd say because the creator of Metroid also made the Gameboy.

  • @Jac2Mac because the GB just came out, so it would get more people to buy the GB if the sequel was released on the gameboy over the nes

  • @Jac2Mac To test the Gameboys Capabilitys?
