I have been a fan of both groups from their first albums respectively. They rap about experiences unique to themselves. Andre 3000 sounds like Andre 3000! Qtip sounds like Qtip. I'm sure he does know what Bitches Brew is, being that he has sampled some of the music of the album, plus he said Miles Davis, who put out the album, so I'm sure he knows what he's talking about. N 4 the comment about HIM influencing Andre 3000, don't get me wrong I love Outkast a lot more than Q-Tip, Tribe Called Quest was released in 84, and Outkast did not come out until 94...so please read, listen, and research before you comment.

@Gdrinkable Of course he knows what bitches brew is, he just wasn't sure if it was considered "the first" fusion album. You know he was one of the main producers of atcq right? which means he must have gone though a crap load of jazz, funk, soul and many other obscure genres to find samples from.

I have been a fan of both groups from their first albums respectively. They rap about experiences unique to themselves. Andre 3000 sounds like Andre 3000! Qtip sounds like Qtip. Andre said Qtip was his favorite rapper, does that mean he bit his style? Eminem said Andre 3000 was his favorite rapper, so I guess he's biting. Everybody shut the hell up and enjoy the music.

This is obsurd. Q-Tip only wishes he could rhyme like Andre'. Q-Tip is a good and classic MCee, but he was good more on style than charisma than rhyming skills. He don't spit like Andre does.

Anyone who is real Outkast fan, or a Hip Hop fan knows the Kast is very influenced by Tribe. Listen to the albums lyrical content next to each other. Not only the content- the red, black and green painted woman from the Tribe albums appeared on several Kast albums. Thats what Tip's smurk was about. Do your homework folks.
