  • These horns were invented by Cerveny, and the Cerveny company is still in business and makes these horns. They come in four types- Eb alto, Bb baritone, Bb euphonium and bass. These are the horns that are often mistaken for Saxhorns, and vice-versa. The Saxhorns are often mistakenly referred to as a family of tubas. THESE are the family of tubas. Saxhorns are valved bugles.

  • What's the difference between this and the Wagner tuba?

  • @valadyr2

the Wagner tuba belongs to the (French) Horn family and has a significant smaller mouthpiece. But you're right it looks very similar.

  • @schnicksda all instruments except for percussion, keys and strings are horns

  • very very very cool :)

  • Hey.... Do you Guys have the Sheets for this????

  • Hey guys, well done, you sound good together and great acoustics.

Would love to know what brand of baritone horn are you playing, and which country are they available from?

  • @rooboru Both instruments are made in USSR, "Leningrad" brand. These ones are older than me and I think there's not many left at all, but you can still find some. "Leningrad" brand still exists, it's in St. Petersburg, Russia. They make new instruments, but I don't know if their sound qualities didn't change...

  • @rooboru By the way, we're from Lithuania and you could find some of these instruments here too.

  • That is so cool. How come i don't see much euphoniums like yours?

  • @wallynator49

In Germany , Cech , Russia ,Poland this type baritone is better known .
