  • Love the movie :)

  • lord, i wish i could sing the god awful soprano at the end, that would be amazing.

  • i love this song i know the whole thing by heart and i performed it in a showcase at the straz center with my boyfriend

    we rock the stage

  • I sang this and music of the night for a Halloween show I was good but needed a partner for it

  • ok i watched the movie and im kinda confused about it what happened to the phantom at the end ? y is his face burned ? who r all the old people when to screen turns black and white ?? sorry im just confused

  • @winkybearjess lol it took me a few times to get the movie as well. The phantom just stayed under the opera house in the end, heartbroken. His face wasn't burned, it was deformed, it had been that way since birth and he had always been picked on for it, that's why he calls himself a 'monster' and that's why he always wears the mask. The old people are Raoul and Christine in the present time. The whole thing with the phantom is all actually a flashback.

  • @wolfpelt8131 Actually the old people are Raoul and Madame (not Meg) Giry. At the end you see Christine's grave so how could she be alive?

  • @stephkorte Ooooooooooh ya. It's been quite awhile since I've seen the movie. My apologies for the mistake.

  • @wolfpelt8131 Actually in Andrew Lloyd Webber's original production (in Brittan's West End and on Broadway) the Phantom's face was burned by acid in a fight. It was changed to a birth defect only for the movie to help explain how he got into the opera house and gain him sympathy. Also some of the lyrics were changed fore the movie to help explain this and in other places as well. I have the British production LP from 1987

  • @wolfpelt8131 No, because at the end it shows Christine's grave with a rose on it. The old women is not her.

  • @wolfpelt8131 u ruiend the ending for me -.-

    thnx....

  • @winkybearjess I personally always interpreted it a bit more optimistically. Been a while since I've seen it, but since the Phantom's lair was empty at the end I think he moved on from the opera house (which was also closed down after he destroyed it) because the compassion Christine showed him and her words gave him the strength to go find a life of his own. He continued to love her, and the rose on the grave showed he was still alive and visited her burial spot recently.

  • Like this if u played this in band or chior. I did! Come on! Anyone else?

  • If my bf had a better singing voice I WOULD OF SOOOOOOOOOOOO won that talent compotition! We corigraphed it perfectly and i sang pretty danm good but it was his voice that you could see the judges flinch at
