  • What is the name of the exact gages you're using?

  • @FoxbodyGuy89 Autometer ES

  • how much did the entire swap cost?

  • Bad Ass ride man. I have a 68 cougar and im tryna decide on either swapping in a 5.0 ho aod motor from donor 89 stang gt or do the coyote swap. Any pointers?

  • im doing a 347 swap on my fox right now i was jst wondering how hard was it to swap the gauges cuz i love he look of the custom gauges man

  • how much are the gauges going for i would like a pair for my stang

  • I have waiting for someone to do this! Great work!

This my new project once I finish school at UTI! Love it! I wanna put one in a fast back too!

  • Nice job. Does it have ac?

  • @jweezybz The car does not have a/c, but the S&R bracket kit we sell does allow a/c to be installed... all you need is the compressor of any mod motor car. We don't need a/c as the car is primarily an open track car, and we live by the beach anyways... rarely gets hot enough to need a/c here.

  • I wanna do this swap in my 89 fox, could I use my stock gauges or do I have to use custom gauges like you did??

  • @enyce699 You have to use Autometer or other aftermarket gauges. You could get the stock oil pressure gauge to work, but all the rest won't read correctly.

  • How much total investment? I have a 89 4 cylinder 4.6 swap in progress. Instead of using the stock 4 cylinder k member and Modding it to work, I'm putting one out of a 02 gt in it. What mods were required to fit this in it? If any besides motor mounts? Also how well did the computer swap work out? And a harness swap? In any case. This is a wicked sick job man. Great job. Looks like a factory motor would. Very clean, very impressive.

  • so how long was the total build??? pm me or reply :)

  • how does it go?

  • Is this on the FRPP tune? Throttle response seems better than the '11 GT!

  • Beast. First time I've ever seem amber gauges in a domestic

  • OMG im crying right now this is so beautiful.

  • what did you use for clutch? and is the lickage hydraulic or cable? which transmission?

also what radiator did you use? im doing this swap and getting parts

  • @TunedByGhazi A T56 transmission out of an 03-04 Cobra was used. Any mod motor clutch and transmission will work actually. The cable is a Maximum Motorsports. All the swap parts were sourced from highflowfuel dot c om

  • @sideways86 so basically, i could purchase one of these motors w/ control harness take the 4.6 out of my 98gt, get it properly fitted with the new required headers, and still use the stock clutch and transmission?

  • @TunedByGhazi The radiator is a Ron Davis for fox bodies. You can use any radiator you want, and then you have to run an expansion tank like all the mod motor cars. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions!

  • man love the swap...im really lovin those bad ass light up gauges

  • Great Job!!!! I'm going to have to see that in person one day hopefully.

  • ok great thanks, do you guys have a kit out yet for installing this in engine on the 86 or plan on putting out a kit for it

  • @simoeseomis Yes we'll be adding more and more swap parts on our website for the car as time goes on.

  • Tight between the shock towers!

  • @Stickman53fe Yes it's a very tight fit... if you're looking for easy then this isn't the swap, but the benefits are incredible. Modern 412hp engine, great gas mileage, reliability, etc etc the list goes on and on.

  • Cant wait for more videos....AND a complete run down of the swap from start to finish... the blog is great by the way!!

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!I want to do this to my GT so bad... Any mods required to the body?

  • @GTNBY2 Actually the swap is dimensionally similar to a 4.6 mod motor, so no body mods are required. The stock hood has plenty of clearance for the intake/ throttle body.

  • Fuckin Awesome! Good for you!

  • whats ur mpg?

  • @BurnTiresNotDrugs Hard to say as we haven't put enough miles on it, but it's safe to say it will be considerably better than any 302/351 based motor.

  • now thats fucking sweet

  • do you know if that cross member with be compatible with the 5.4 motor, and what trans did you use on your? is it a 6 or 5 speed . Was everything plug and play or was there any timing involved...

  • @simoeseomis Yes the Maximum Motorsports k-member part number MMKM-2.1 will also accept the 5.4 motor no problem. You'll more than likely need a cowl hood with the 5.4 though. We are using a T56 6speed out of an 03-04 Cobra. You don't set the timing, just plug in and go.

  • do you know if that cross member with be compatible with the 5.4 motor, and what trans did you use on your? is it a 6 or 5 speed

  • You lucky son of a bitch. How hard was it to wire it, and what k-member did you use?

  • @JayGeePee1 We used the Maximum Motorsports 4.6 swap k-member specifically for 79-95 Mustangs that are running a mod motor. It can be seen on our website (link in vid description) or MM's website.

  • @angrydog79 We used BBK Performance longtube headers. Our car was used to build them.

  • i love this with the weight difference its gonna really eat chevy guys i certainly wanna do it. The motor isnt as much as i thought it would b either

  • @2212jahi The engine as delivered from Ford weighs 440lbs which is pretty light, about the same as an aluminum headed 302 based motor.

  • The weight of the motor as delivered from Ford is ~440lbs which is about the same as an aluminum headed 302 based motor.

  • I am running a twin turbo Mod motor in my foxbody, you can check out my small vids on YouTube...

Anyways, I am planning to switch over to the new Coyote platform and I have 3 questions.

    1. Is there a wire that connects to your RPM gauge or did you have to use an signal adapter?

    2. Same thing on the Speedometer, is there a wire that goes directly to your gauge? electronic?

    3. Will the gas pedal mount up correctly on the foxbody or did it require modifications?

  • @Samortiz6yahoo #1 The Ford Racing control pack has a wire that goes directly to the aftermarket tach. You will definitely need to use an aftermarket tach.

#2 All 4.6L transmissions have a sensor on the side of the transmission that is used for the aftermarket speedo (we used an Autometer).

#3 The Ford Racing gas pedal does not bolt up directly. You will need to make your own bracket, or we will be offering a CNC aluminum bracket soon (refer to the link in the video description).

  • if ya dont mind me asking, what did it cost you just to get this far. Couse i want to do this to my 82 capri, and if ya dont mind send us some vids of it at the track for we can see what kind of time your getting with it considering this car is about 4 hundred pounds lighter then the new mustang with drivers in each car, that is an average person anny ways.

  • @lions66666 The cost is about the same as building a stroker, and it is far more reliable. We will certainly post track videos when we have them!

  • Awesome!!!!!!! Now I know it's possible!!!

  • @MIKETHEGUITARPRO for sure. my buddie just got his driving last night. its sick as hell. he only got on it a couple of times just shifting early but you can feel it never quits pulling when you shift. i just posted up some vids from my i phone. ill put up more soon when he gets exhaust and lets the motor gets some miles on it.

  • thats awesome, i was thinking of doing the 5.4 gt 500 motor in a 86 now it looks like i may just have too :)... where did you get the gauges???

  • @simoeseomis The gauges are from Autometer. ES Series.

  • I am going to shit bricks when i see this on the road...

  • how much is the conversion kit?

  • @nxmoparmatt84 The motor itself is ~$6-7k from Ford Racing distributors. The rest of the parts it really depends... transmission, wiring, fuel, suspension, etc.

  • Really awesome! :) I subbed ya, Would like to see more vids when your done! Looks great so far!

  • how much modification was needed to drop it in?

  • @MrFriday1381 Most of it bolts together like lego's, but several parts had to be developed specifically for this swap (like the @bbkperformance longtube headers which allow this swap to happen). The Ford Racing motor, and wiring kit are simply awesome. Everything is designed to fit a fox body so it goes together pretty smoothly. The Maximum Motorsports 4.6L swap k-member holds the Coyote motor just fine, as it shares the same basic architecture as a 4.6L/5.4L

  • Awesome! Can't wait to see videos of this thing on the track! (and you already have the 5.0 badges on the fender! ;-)
