  • When you think about it, these buses were around 13-14 years old at the time this video was recorded. Were they really of no commercial value by this stage? The RH class buses from 1990 are still doing the rounds in Dublin, albeit not with DB, while others are still running in the UK.

  • Worst moment ever! Seeing them all as scrap is so bad after many years.

  • @The91Diesel It is a bit sad to see! Used to really enjoy riding these, especially the old Atlanteans and Bombardiers.

  • LOTS OF SOME RARE SPARES HERE GOOD IF PEOPLE ARE RESTOREING OLD BUSES AND SOME ENGINES

  • sad to see them in this state , i went to school on them , i think the fare was 2p when i started , im getting old :)

  • I remember those KC buses. Bus Éireann had KC5 and KC6 in Waterford City in the 80's and 90's.

Bus Éireann buses in Waterford are now Wright Buses which were built in Northern Ireland and came into service in 2007. They also have the Enviro 200 which came into service in 2009. And there's a private operator in Waterford called Kenneally's , which is part of J. J. Kavanagh & Sons, that have the Mercedes-Benz Citaro.

  • In county meath ,a bus company called Carrolans have 2 old leylands in the blue and yellow livery .This leyland brand is not used anymore. It is located on the road from Ratoath to Swords near the M2.

  • Thank you. If I am up around that area, I will take a few photos of them.

  • a were all the KD/KR/KC have ended up

  • have you got pics of this yard or any links to any with these buses

  • where is this yard?id love to go for a snoop!

  • This scrap yard is in Co. Louth, near Ardee but all these buses for scrap are all gone now. All are cut up & cleared. I think the last of them were removed in 2003.

  • is ther any more yards like this in ireland??

  • No, not now. Dublin Bus have sold all their withdrawn buses in recent years to bus dealerships in Britain & Bus Eireann have had a number of their buses on lease & return them to their owners. The way things are now, they will both have to hang onto the buses they have for a whole lot longer.
