I washed and picked my fiber I bought off ebay, with no problem. Then I tried to card on my drum carder....huge mess. All the fiber stuck on to the licker, the batt fell apart after I eventually removed the tangled mess from the drum. I think I have staple lenghts of about 3 inches. Any suggestions as to what I might do to get it "spinnable"??? Do I need to comb it, should I just spin the picked fiber. Would appreciate your expert advice!
@Cecelialinda your fleece is probably just felted . its caused by agitation in the washing/ rinsing process . Once a fleece is felted its no good

Yes, I would use the same process for llama as it too has no lanolin

THANK you for this series!!! Would you do the same method for LLama?
I thank you for doing these videos... I am used to washing wool so this taught me a lot in the differences.
