Is the Jet class also unlimited? If someone showed up with say, a T-38, could they race it too?

The jet class is limited by wing sweep angle and non-afterburning engines only.  A T-38 would not be allowed to race. I think one year they let some afterburning jets in if they promised to keep it at military power or below but they engaged the burners anyway :)

FYI, The rules of air racing dictate a hot and cold side to the runway. You land on the hot side then once down and stable move to the cold side. This is because you have 8 planes all coming in for a landing.
