i have also an electric violin but you should play with the low Tones and not with high tones ..... ;) but very good variation of the original ;)

you have talent .just a little suggestion though. Look for a different tone selection in your electronics . I've got an electric violin and I can get that kind of tone without even plugging it in. Not every piece of electrical effect works with violin.

if you can't see all the comments on this page, please click on 'view all comments' to see my answer to your question of which brand i'd recommend...as for your second question...there's no real difference between an electric and a silent one..they all say it's silent, but it can never be completely silent..all electric violins are 'silent' as long as you got a headphone on and the chord that connects your eviolin to your amplifier is plugged in 'headphone'...

when u're playing in silent mode, it just means that you can control how loud u wanna hear yourself play, while other people around you can't hear the difference in the volume..they would hear a low volume, but the sound would never be silent to their ear..the name 'silent' violin is pretty misleading eh...anyway, i hope this helps..i understand where u're coming from..i was confused about this whole silent/electric violin thing too before buying one

yeah, it's not bad at all...the sound is pretty nice considering it's an electric violin..then again, this is my first e-violin..accoustic violin sound will always be better..this Stagg is i believe made out of maple..solid maple so it's heavier than accoustic..took some getting used to at first cuz it's about two to three times as heavy than accoustic..at least thats how i feel it as..comes w/ headphone, cable to hook up to an amplifier (not included), bow, rosin, case, and two straps..

lets see what else..guess the main thing u're concerned about is the sound..which is pretty good..however, if money's not a prob..i suggest going w/ an e-violin from yamaha..the reviews i read about it said the sound quality is probably one of the best..this stagg is not too bad though so i'd stick w/ a stagg if i'm short on budget.
