Nice 5*. I have a microphone that I want to use to record a conference table conversation with a couple other people. Now when I try to direct record into my PC laptop, it comes out way to low in volume. Will this boost the signal to a much higher level? Is this the same as what phantom power does? I'm recording interviews where I just want to set a condenser mike down on the table about 4feet away, not hold it close to my mouth. Thank you.
@Halunlimited What do you mean? Is the question about the Fast Track USB? if it is... well. It has a switch to choose if you're recording from a guitar or a Mic. That probably does the trick you need. I never go straight into the sound card... just find easier (and less messier) to use a USB Audio Bridge like the M-Audio Fast Track. Hope taht helps...
