  • Watching a real master at work is a joy to behold.

  • In the bread he makes in the pot - he doesn't specify the type of flour. Is it bread flour or AP? Anyone know?

  • I remember growing up as a kid and always wanting to watch Yan can Cook and was always happy to see his new apron with the new saying on it. Now that i've watched the cooking channel and now Jaques....I really enjoy his style and his engagement with cooking, its fun and relaxing. His foods hit home with novices and experienced cooks everywhere.

  • how can you dislike this guy? he says 'happy cooking!'

  • Dude was nasty at 16:40...... Im high as fuck

  • I haven't seen Jacques in almost 20 years since his Today's Gourmet TV Show.

  • Jacques Pépin is truely a legend

  • There's nothing fake or bullshit about this guy. He truly honors food and good eating.

BTW how come he's not diabetic at his age? Because he eats good quality food?

  • i love how he said. Oop. this is ready haha

  • You can sense his passion and it makes you want to do what he does. There's something very enlightening about watching passionate people doing what they love.

  • Utterly charming!

  • This is a real chef!

  • I'd like to know just who washes his pans! Some cooking shows I swear they are always brand new, how wasteful.

  • "10 hours, 12 hours, 14 hours....depending on how long you sleep". Damn Jacques has a good life XD

  • This recipe left out the clams they Jacques used in the TV version. He added a can clams when he added the beans.

  • Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver are those who dislike

  • i love the way he says "Broccoli-nee" and "pomogray-nat"

  • @MYheroMJrip Broccolini IS different than broccoli. They are two similar, but separate ingredients.

  • @Snapepet i know that !! i was talking about his pronunciation.

  • This man is so adorable! I love it when the chef on a cooking show is so sweet and committed to what he/she's doing. Somehow, watching this feels comforting.

  • da fuck

  • awesome

  • Cooking contests BAAAAH

  • I'm coming to You Tube soon! Request recipes and Sub now!

  • I love this guy. He is gentle, and smart, and passionate about what he does. He makes it all look easy, and you actually LEARN something from him every time you watch him. Heaven. No wonder he and Julia were such good friends. I LOVE it when they used to cook together.

  • he managed to turn me from freakin' full to hungry!

  • i feel like watching my grandad cook. I miss him!!

  • HOLY MOLLY I just made the egg thing, and it was AMAZING. I almost crapped my pants it was so good.

  • jacque pepin is the only guy that makes gordon ramsey and marco peirre white loos like shit

  • oh man! how i miss this show so much, i would watch this with my grandparents. great show great chef, Pepin is king! you can hate on me all you want but food network has nothing on this guy.

this was real cooking right here and his humor made me that more enjoyable. thank you for posting

    take care friend.

  • The bread is great! Easy and delicious.

  • ジャック・ペパン氏の料理はオーシャニア・クルーズで存分に堪能できます。

  • You sir, are the KING!!!!!

  • its SO simple, but looks soooo GOOD

  • The pomegranate part. It. It makes so much sense~!

  • But.. but... extracting the seeds is part of the fun....

  • oh my god, thats how you eat pomegranate!!!!

  • Thank you so much for loading these! I wish I could find more with Julia and Jacques too. Thank you again for your generousity

  • w00t love this show, watch it everytime it comes on pbs. seen this episode before too. need more shows like this, damn it's sad when pbs has better cooking shows then food network.

  • I love this guy and Eric Ripert.

  • So I've made the bread exactly as he does on this clip over 5 times now. Every time it comes out incredible!! And it's really easy to make!! Kick ass!!

  • ahh everytime he holds a hot pan i think he's gonna burn his hand -__-

  • it's kinda fun to compare this show (and the one he had with Julia Child 'R.I.P.') with America's Test Kitchen. they're so on opposite ends of the spectrum - he and Julia just eyeball everything and sort of make it up as they go, while Test Kitchen is so freaking anal with their precise measuring and fanatical methods. just sorta interesting to see different styles.

  • best cooking show I have seen probably ever. this is as relaxing to watch as bob ross painting

  • "four hundred twenty five hundred 50 degree" ??

  • @Darkshadowside Couldn't agree with you more! This man is a real chef.

Plus he's low-key, elegant and understated unlike the Food Network's loud, obnoxious cartoon character Guy Fieri.

  • He taste the ragout with his spoon and... put his spoon back in the pan ! ROTFL !

  • @k00gan

    @ 20:33 ~ 20:36 if you wonder...

  • Wait, Jacques Pepin drinks drip coffee??? I would have totally guessed that he's a french press type of man.

  • What's the non stick stuff he used for the cookiedough? I want that D:

  • Great show! It's nice to see such a relaxed cook! I don't think age matters, it's skill. After all, all of us will grow old if we are lucky.

  • It's so funny how hes so old but he still has amazing skills while he kicks ass at the same time!

  • That bread recipe made me shit brix. I am so trying that.

  • I love him, I am looking for the recipe of dry fruit and honey with cream cheese

  • Oh, by the way, his pronunciation of the word "tart" is the funniest thing I've heard all day.

  • This is my first time watching this show. Not only does he have some awesome looking food, but his accent makes me giggle like every three seconds. I will most certainly start watching his show.

  • "A little 'cocote'!"

  • If you cook... I mean really cook...then you realize that Jacque is a living god...

  • pretty much you can't get more classic french than him

  • He seemed kind of sluggish "for his age". Then I checked out his age. The dude is 74! I thought he was at most in his sixties.

  • Omg, did you see what he did to that pomegranate?

  • A true master. <3

  • One of my all time fave chefs

  • i absolutely love his accent! :))

  • this is how a real cooking show should be like. Not like what they have nowadays on Food Network. They focus on entertainment. Screw that, a show with heart and soul is way better.

  • @Darkshadowside Would you fuck him?

  • @Darkshadowside fuckin a right!

  • @Darkshadowside Food Network turned into Reality Food Garbage Shitfest TV

  • hes got the best voice

  • amazing. :) thanks for the ideas and recipes.

  • I'm not who to question pepin's ways, but if you let proof dough in a pot that is made from metal, it would get some of that flavor...

  • This is making me really hungry! And I should try his bread recipe too, and even if I don't make my own bread, I should at least make the cheesy bread sticks.

  • I love this show! Thank you!

  • I LOVE HIS CHOPPING SKILLS...so clean and smooth and effortlessly. he makes it look so easy! lol

  • Made this ragout today with a few mods. Smoked oysters instead of clams, and young asparagus in place of the broccolini. Fast, easy, inexpensive, and delicious!

  • I wonder how many cloves of garlic he has prepared in his life... 100,000?

  • Good video, however he does not show the cut bread. What size pot does he use. My bread is very stickey when it is sliced. The temp. after 40 min is 200-205 degrees. The crust seperates itself from the bread itself. What am I doing wrong????

  • My bread was a little sticky/doughy, too toward the center of the bread, but otherwise it was really good! I think it might be because I used a pot that was wider and shorter than his, so perhaps the cooking time needs to be adjusted depending on the shape pot you're using... I just put the bread back in the oven for 10 min--hopefully that should solve the stickiness.

  • UPDATE: 10 more min was all it needed. It came out perfect! This is so easy, I could make it everyday! =)

  • "Don't tell that guy I ate half of his egg." Priceless! Vive Jacques!

  • I love Jacques Pepin!

  • thank you Jaques! and KQED!
