  • @crungen

y r u so fukin angry i meann damn so wut if the onion isnt dicd whoi cares!!!!!!!!!

  • uhmm well as interesting as that was it wasn't really a veggie burger. The only veggie in that was onion. So in my eyes it's more of a tofu burger.

  • Great vidio

  • Great vidio

  • THAT FUCKING ONION IS NOT FINELY DICED

  • @crungen5 I agree. She can GO TO HELL for that! (????)

  • Nice idea...but you defo need some salt and pepper otherwise it will be tasteless.

  • Only fermented soy is healthy, like Miso soup. Non-fermented soy like Tofu etc is unhealthy.

  • @Chrijz but in Miso soup there is tofus

  • @AxnGrlX OK, thanks. I must've got wrong info, or maybe they meant miso-soup without the tofu-bit.

  • it wud b bettr if u accualy put veggies in it!!!!!!!

  • Dr. Kaayla Daniel, author of The Whole Soy Story, points out thousands of studies linking soy to malnutrition, digestive distress, immune-system breakdown, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline, reproductive disorders and infertility—even cancer and heart disease.

  • Veggie burger? all I saw was onions and tofu...Where's the carrots and other colorful veggies? It's more of a tofu burger. But thanks for sharing, at least we know our first step of making veggie burger :)

  • yes i have tofu in my fridge which means i can try this recipe out!:)

  • Americans piss me off lol idk why, ah fuck it i don't need a reason

  • THANK YOU!!!!! you're hot also :)

  • is there such a thing as "Grilled veggie burger"? or impossible?

  • Does this fall apart when cooking? coz it looks like it was falling apart... would egg keep it together?

  • @jamesarongray yes egg would hold it more together, and it would still be considered vegetarian, but not vegan.

  • @hipretty thank u im going to try that today ;)

  • @jamesarongray ...ok bear in mind the starting product may seem loose-er (than what she's got here) from the egg. carefully squeeze it into patties (because it will still be crubly with the egg while raw...put it carefully in the pan...but the finished product will def be more cohesive from the cooked egg.

  • @hipretty ps I would def season wih anything that makes regular burgers taste good...onion powder or flakes...garlic powder or flakes etc whatever is your taste!

  • I find everybodys comments about vegitarnism and veganism to be very draining... Infact i find it draining that i feel the need to even write this just to tell you all how draining you are.

  • can you use sunflower and flax instead of that terrible flour?

  • What can I substitute wheat germ with?

  • do u need the wheat grem?

  • You can substitute wheatgerm for breadcrumbs but it's not really as good.

  • instead of using vegan cheese, i like making a raw, vegan cheese made from blending cashews. the house recommends!

  • that looks really good

  • You just have to find alternatives that dont contain animal products.NON dairy yogurt would be coming from Silk or So Declicious brand

    Chese from Tofutti

and the mayo can be VEgenaise..

Ice Cream can be bought from the brands So Delicious and some other brand that I forgot.

You just have to go to the store and look in the same places where you would normally find them and seek out the non dairy products. Try Whole Foods, they have lots of vegan and veggie friendly products.

  • Tofu and bread lol?

  • are they good?

  • Actually, veggie burgers can be very delicious. Don't be afraid to spice it up with some herbs, spices, garlic, and/or hot sauce.

  • nice wait i am new to this can you put cheese on them or no?

  • If you're not a vegan, then I guess you can put cheese and/or mayo on it. But if you want it to be vegan, then the cheese and mayo are both a no-no.

You can also put ketchup and mustard on it as well, but most ketchups have high fructose corn syrup...although there are some organic ketchups out there which have no HFCS.

  • Actually there are alternativess for both pf those.

    Vegenaise and Tofutti cheese

  • Depends. Are you trying to be vegan or vegetarian? Are you cookies for vegans and vegetarians?

Vegetarians will eat milk and eggs. Cheese has milk in it. Vegans will not eat anything that comes from an animal, so if your cooking for a vegan then no.

  • cheese is made from milk so if you'r vegan you can't use it (unless it's made of soy). vegetarians can have dairy products in their diet while vegans don't eat things that came out from animals (milk, honey etc).

  • bees are animals because theres only 2 kinds of cell...animal cells and plant cells......and a bee is a breathing, eatin, moving, breading thing so it is an animal

  • And honey is also extremely good for you, and its silly to not eat it for the sake of being "vegan".

  • oregonskateok:

bees work hard to make the honey. go fudge yourself.

  • mjdjsiddal:

bees are animals, you butt hole.

  • butt hole ???

    fuck you ya crakchead

  • I tried it, it was great, only I used 100% beef

  • HaaaHaaa lol

  • LMAO

  • went in his lab as a dare the boys were never found again were aparently murdered . now that u have read this comment when you go to sleep the 2 boys and fredrick will come and kill u but u can stop this by posting this comment of 5 other videos by midnight

  • The biggest misconception about veggie burgers are that they all use soy. Not true. You can use any edible bean in place of soy. You can even opt to use peas such as black eyed peas or Northern peas. My family loves my homemade pea burgers. People need to be educated about the fact that a veggie burger is not necessarily the same as a soy burger.

  • That looks tasty :)

Aw,but my local super markets don't sell tofu..

  • Easy peasy! Thanks for the recipe.

  • I made it my burger was breaking all the time even i putlots of bread crumbs :(

  • Try putting a slice of toast or two in the toaster and then chopping the toast up into toasted bread crumbs in a food processor (or a mini food processor). That's the type of bread crumbs I use in my recipe. Or you could chop up some nuts such as walnuts and use that to hold it together.

  • This hasn't been proven yet.

However, you can make 100% soy-free veggie patties by mixing any type of beans + sauted onion + garlic + flour + starch (optional)+ spices. No measuring needed, just keep tasting it and feeling for the texture. If they don't seem to hold together add more flour and maybe some starch.

  • When I make my pea burgers, I just mash up a can of black eyed peas (or Northern peas), add some minced garlic, some Italian seasoning, a dash of chili powder (go easy on it because it's loaded with salt), and about 1/2 tsp. to 1 tsp. of chile habanero sauce, add some toasted bread crumbs, mix it up, form the patties, dredge both sides with flour, and fry them in an oiled cast iron skillet. Sometimes I will add sauteed onion, sauteed mushroom slices, and celery and carrot and parsley.

  • damm that sounds good i'm going to try that

  • That recipe makes four patties. I should point out that I based my recipe on the Savory Mushroom Black Eyed Pea Burger recipe from Toni Fiore's "Delicious TV Totally Vegetarian" show. Link to Toni's recipe:

    delicioustv(.)com(/)2007(/)04(/)savory-mushroom-and-black-eye-pea-burger(/)

  • hmm, i like the idea but not frying it, surely it'd be a lot healthier to grill it, but then again with it being a vege/tofu burger it may just disintegrate.

  • Grilling may also introduce carcinogens into the food.

Maybe you could cook them in an oven or even a convection oven like the NuWave.

  • No, that will leave a dreaded "carbon footprint", its best to cook it in a solar oven, it might not be pretty but we must make sacrifices :P

    lol busting on ya :D

  • LOL good one.

  • why would you make a veggie burger??

  • because your a vegetarian like me

  • Because I have seen a slaughter house..

  • well its not really a vegie burger. its only got onion. call it a tofu burger.

  • "you don't have to feel limited to the ingredients we have here. you can also add any spices, vegetables, beans, even nuts that you would like to make a more creative burger"

  • You are what you eat:

    dead meat.

    pass it on.

  • !! yes

  • @adamatova LMAO ima put that on the randomest vids xD

  • @adamatova i guess that makes us vegetables then :S

  • lol

  • y0ungg, don't insult other people simply because they are different. If you can't flip it (even though managed to easily) you can always buy one of those double sided grills like the George Foreman ones, they don't cost much. That way it is easier and also healthier.

  • ok so this veggie burger is better for you than from meat, but, doesn't help when you want to lose weight when it's cooked in oil!!

  • It sure do when there is no fat content to absorb from the the vegi burger substance itself, rather than whats its cooked in.

And you can use Oliv Oil, its better than any other oils

  • Could you send me a message with the ingredients?

I don't speak english very well and I don't understand some words.

I would thank you a lot!

  • thanks. i always wanted to know how they make them. thanks for posting.

  • Thanks, hope it taste good (I'm thinking of doing some).

  • as am i have you tryed this specific one yet?

  • Sry, no I haven't because I've heard non-fermented soy (like tofu) isn't that healthy (according to the Dr Mercola here at YouTube), although I don't know if it's true..

  • well what if you followed one of the many recpies for tofu its not much into it.

  • acording to a doctor on youtube? wow- i would totally believe him!

  • adriandoher: No, I wouldn't, because only "serious" doctors that have a big office and prescribe loads of drugs (so the pharmaceutical industry gets even richer) are the ones to believe in.. [/irony]

  • thats not what i said. but i wouldt trust a doctor who speaks over the internet. and for your information, that industry is not about getting richer, pharmacists dont make people depend on medicine, they just sell it.

  • You are wrong!! Pharma is getting richer and richer every year!

  • what was that in response to? I'm a big anti-Pharma. Did you know that pharma is connected to the insurance industry, the rest of the medical industry, and the infant formula industry? Pharma not only creates diabetes, but treats it too, it's a conspiracy!

  • It was a reply about the description of neverending medecines....to another person, But I don't remember who anymore....but, thanks for the extra information.....I knew that Pharma had extra baggage....

  • Hmmm... Yummie! =)
