In his defense, he *was* invited. But Disney wouldn't pay for his flight to New Zealand, so he didn't bother putting the time aside for it.

As for him being in JF, it's the same thing every year with fans trying to stir up rumors of old Rangers coming back. Just enjoy the season as it is right now and JDF's character as he was left off.

I didn't know that part of the story, all I knew was I was looking at Tommy Oliver's Wikipedia page and it said someone other than Jason Frank had portrayed him, which made me rather annoyed :P and while I agree that ranger fandom does tend to fly off the handle "This will be the last season! My favorite Ranger is returning!, etc". It does seem like they've figured out that if they put even one obscure reference to the old series half of the people who watched as kids will tune in.

Ugh, yeah, the guy who played Trent in DT did his voice. Just awful. JDF is cool about PR, but even he knows that Tommy has been put to rest. He's not going to come back unless it's some huge final team up.

That's what makes this fandom so...special. They just insist on stirring up this crap. I remember last year there was SO much about Adam coming in as a Ranger in Overdrive. Hell, in 2006 they were talking about it. Leave your childhood to rest and enjoy the show as it is now.

BDaichi, the original cast did their own fighting back in the day. & the american ranger fights in the newer shows, from PRWF up to MF rules over the sentai footage, in which magiranger footage looks like zyuranger from what, 14 years ago.
