Playing the game myself and beating it all the way, I've got to say that without Zelkova and Yata with their health/revival potions this battle is indeed hard or rather impossible, since killing Azure Balmung/Orca doesn't help much since Azure Kite (whatever name you transferred with from original series) revives them. With that said if the objective was to completely defeat them you'd lose running out of potions before fully winning this is the punchline from CC Corp lol, you'd never beat them.

I just finished this fight on the game, being lvl 124 (need 1 more to use "fallen skies"), and without zelkova, his devastating area attacks and overpowered potions would never won this. I was just lucky to choose him.

i just used scythes on them....worked like charm.....oh and i also used large area spells to keep them at bay....my allies barely did anything

@HaseoXLeon Kite did get a lot stronger didn't he? From a punching bag in Vol.1 to casting spells and supporting his allies... too bad he still just floats there though. At least Aura put in that Staccato ability for him =P

I watched this and wished I had brought Zelkova instead... Pi just gave them love-taps and got counter-attacked even when using her skills, lol. I was afraid to even use my skills because Orca+Balmung just attacked right through them. I think I'll level up before moving on...

I never thought I'd actually get to fight inside of the Hulle Granz Cathedral... man this was epic though. I love how coordinated they all fight--from Balmung and Orca charging out then switching to a spellcasting stance.

I learned something from this fight though...never take out Orca and Balmung individually. I fought them at about level 125 with Pi+Yata and it was HELL. Just as I was about to finish Azure Kite he revived both Balmung+Orca and did the special attack. -_-

the ones you fight in this game are not the actual azure knights because the retired quite some time after the original verison (not fragment) and the ones being fought are just aura's attempt to recreate them to get rid of bugs

BTW, I beat them around lvl 127 like you did lol. They didn't seem too hard after you realize that killing Balmung and Orca don't do anything lol

Zelkova is a Flick Reaper, not a cleric. He just has really good healing potions.

its a thing u get if u have the original .hack game on ur memory card. If u named the kite character in .hack// Infection or any others, his name will appear as the one u gave him on the previous .hack games. Mine was named Azura

I didn't bother with attacking Balmung nor Orca unless they literally came before my guns. XD Kite revives them anyway, so killing them is pointless, I think. ;) I played with Kuhn and Pi and I beat the hell out of them, yeah! >:D

Btw, do You know that You can escape the spells? You seem to fall victim to almost all of them here, so I thought I'll ask. :P

I named Kite Leon in Quarantine. I converted that data to Rebirth. It changed Azure Kite's name to Leon.

soo umm theres a lil screw up in the game the second time kite or "leon" uses his special attack where all the azure knights attack you, you already killed balmung yet theres he is attacking you in the special..thought id point that out.

It only has 2 skills, Justice and Judgement. You need to switch to the Dual swords to use the dual sword skills.

i just used the droppler ganger's crap. :P. it reduces 75% of both melee and magic dmg and converts it to your sp. which can easily regen from the other item u get from it.

Around the time after the original series, there was a fire in the CC Corp building, which went and destroyed most of the stuff.

So they had to make The World R: 2.

And well, Aura created these zombie looking versions of Kite, Orca, and Balmung to get rid of viruses and stuff like that. And the person who played Kite didn't exactly retire, he had to deal with Life, and school, and crap.

He didn't have the time.
