  • I've been to Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland University,Pittsburg and talked to So. Cal. Nobody will do anything for me. Keep saying I'm too bad and too young at 48yrs. I live on Vicodine. I have given up. Tired of paying Docs to tell me Live With It.

  • UCLA is supposed to be very good. It's never too late for a second opinion. Go to the best. Check to make sure the physician participates with your health insurance.

  • where is this located? ty.

  • Look up John E. Sarno

  • FML, compressed discs, abnormal spinal curvature and degenerative disc disease at age 21. Doctors don't even care either, I have been to over 10 different doctors in the past 2 1/2 years and gotten nothing. FUCK.

  • Get health insurance and never be without it. This sounds like a problem you're going to have for the rest of your life.

You need to find an orthopedist that specializes in the spine. Don't just go to anyone; do your homework. There are lots of excellent doctors: you need to find out where they went to school and did their residency, are they board certified, what hospitals are they associated with, how long have they been in practice, do they specialize in the procedure you need etc.

  • Ya, well I am at a point in my life where I just don't give a flying fuck about anything due to the pain.

  • When pain is excruciating you can't think straight. Some people commit suicide they're in so much pain. The pain can become a chronic disease in its own right.

When I had two bulging discs I thought someone was ripping my leg off. All the ER was concerned about was that I was faking pain to get narcotics. Maybe, because you're so young they think you're faking it.

Tell me where you live, and I'll see if I can find you a specialist. I saw an orthopedist, phys therapist & anesthesiologist.

  • I live near San Bernardino / Riverside / Redlands in California.

  • The best hospital for orthopedics in So. Ca. is UCLA Medical Center. The doctor you should call is David Fish, MD, (310)319-3475. His specialty is the spine and pain. Tell him you are in extreme pain and need to be seen ASAP. If you can't see him for whatever reason, get a physician referral from him. He'll know all the good doctors in your area. Best of luck. Let me know how you make out.

  • Thanks, you've done more than half of the doctors I've seen in the past few years.

  • Don't give up. Keep going. People care about you. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

  • Better yet, keep me in your prayers..
