  • oh god, I just remembered what happens to that lad's dog :S sad times

  • 0:48 guy in the backround: SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKER IM TRYING TO LISTEN TO MY IPOD FUCK YOU

  • Brilliant song

  • "Poor wee laddies" as Harper would say :D

  • whats a collier?

  • @Horstinio I always that that it just refered to coal miners but Wikipedea expands on this. check it out

  • heh. My dad loves Sharpe and last year we went to see Kate live in Halifax,, I've got to show him this

  • FIIIIIIIIITLH!!!!

  • @ftenkmann

Szenen aus der Serie "Die Scharfschützen" Episode - Das verschollene Battallion. Eien Reihe über den Offizier Richard Sharpe der von Wellington aus dem Mannschaftsstand befördert wurde.

  • Hier text eingeben.

  • One of the best for sure, felt bad for the lad who's dog was 'shot'..yeah it's just a show but still hehe. I wouldent spit on that colonel even if he were on fire

  • Excellent...especially with Kate Rusby doing the song.

  • Many officers of this period were cowards who brought their commissions, but your average British soldier was a warrior willing to put his life on the line.

  • Can somebody please tell me which episode this is? THx in advance.

  • Sharpes Regiment

  • Thanks for the info.

  • @19prodigy85 Sharpe's regiment.

  • Isn't this Kate Busby?

  • the audio clipping is horrid.

  • Try and take my dog away from me! (someone will pay)! See what happens! This is so sad!

  • usualy I can't stand when people feel the need to put a song over tv clips. This is the exception that prooves the rule. It made sence to put that song to that clip and for once puting song to clip worked well.

  • were can i download this song?

  • Call me a softy for the home front, but I think this was the best episode of Sharpe.

  • @VanHowle you're a softy for the home front, it wasn't the best epesode. but i liked it too.

  • Kate Rusby is an angel. I want to marry her and have her children. I will cut down any man who thinks she is less than a godess........calm down son....ahhhhh she's lovely.

  • Lovely... No Doubt!!!! But Godess... i doubt!lol ;p Can you tell me the name of this song please?

  • It's called Recruited Collier. It's on the Sharpe album but I heard it first on the Kate Rusby & Kathryn Roberts album. There's a song on that one called Plains of Waterloo if you like this sort of thing. And I worship her so she must be a godess........sighhhhhhh :)

  • Theres a sharpe album?!

  • Of course there is!! Not got it meself but it has Kate Rusby on it so it can't be that bad!!

  • maybe, but thinking she's a godess seems to contradict your name, don't y'think?

    :P

  • shed have to ditch that pretend psudo folkey accent.

  • @flute4hire Not pseudo. Kate *is* a Yorkshire lass.

  • @carollizc she still sounds like a sad folkey wherever shes from. at least shes not gone for the usual irish accent that most put on & exaggerate.

  • I have loved this song for well over 8 years. Its got to be one of the most stunning tunes, ive heard.

  • Know where I can get an MP3 for this?

  • brilliant.. just brilliant!

  • Have to admit listening this a lot during basic at HMS Raleigh.... again weirdly back in 95'

  • i hated that guy when sharpe became a recruit............

    FILTH !

  • That was the point. Makes that line he's told to say later on all the sweeter.

    GOD SAVE IRELAND!

  • In the book, the last part was a large battle, not a skirmish. When Harper asks where the recruiting sargent is to be placed, Sharpe says something to the effect of:"With Kelly, O'Connor, and the O'Toole brothers."

The man was not coming back from that battle no way, no how.

    GOD SAVE IRELAND.

  • dude you are a fuckin hero for posting this. me and the boys listened to this during basic and it inspired us to keep going. owe u a pint.

  • haha! I listened to this during basic in 1995 mate! Kate Rusby has an amazing voice, I never get tired of listening to this one...

  • I think I'll go to the legion tonight.

  • Thanks for that cheer up calll

  • Could you send me this song mate??

  • what're sharpy and pat doing there in civilian clothing?

  • They came back to England and enlisted again to find their missing men. its from the episode Sharpes Regiment.

  • From memory the singers Kate Rusby.

  • kindest regards
