  • Alien in DA place

  • He was the teacher of -Kirk Hamett, Vaï, Alex Skolnick....Famous world known guitarists. How can you dislike this ? 274 rap fan or wtf ?

Who said his sound is'nt real ? It's just perfEcTTTTTT Technic

  • ребята, извините, по моему, это хуйня

sorry, its piece of shit, guys (idonttrollingyou)

  • Always loved Joe. This guy knows how to jam

  • Close your eyes and dream...

  • What is this guy? A robot? His squealies sound like Dimebag's. I like him.

  • whoop troubles I bet you'll hit on that

  • The best!

  • Legato to the max , no homo

  • Got total respect for the guy as a guitarist, but I could never watch an entire show without falling asleep. We get it, you love playing guitar, monkey arms alien head.

  • @geitepung Dude, respect your opinions, but.....are you F'G 12 YEARS OLD....OR WHAT? Satch is one of the best of all time....taught Kirk Hammett...do I need to say more? Do your research on Joe before you.....fall asleep....from your own boring life.....

  • @capecodnut

Geez, hold your tears will you?

I said I respect the guy, I know he's technical, I know he's innovative, but I still wouldn't listen to a 2 hour show of background music and a lead guitarist shredding through every track. I know the guitar is his way of conveying his music, but I don't feel what he feels. It's too clinical and devoid of emotions to me if it's just a lead guitar.

That doesn't make me a 12 year old, it just means I'm not feelin it.

  • @geitepung Well when you fill out concert halls globally to see you and not the drum player then allow them to feel it. If you listen instead of watch then more comes out

  • @geitepung your idea feeling is your and his way is his.

  • @geitepung Yeah be we dont dont watch Bugs bunny more than three hours a day either

  • @highseascaptain

Wow, that's an amazing comeback, you're really ahead of your time.

Bugs bunny, really? Do you make anecdotes out of every thought that enters your head or did you just feel like that one would be particularly hard hitting?

If you're gonna retort to defensive fanboyism, try not to sound like you actually remember Hitler.

  • @geitepung Dont watch satriani anymore and your truobles will be over

  • @geitepung Come on Im waiting your big words dont make up for your samll dick. Post your big ass shit loser boy

  • @geitepung Post your amazing badass video Fagboy or go die loser

  • @highseascaptain Just post your video kicking Joes ass and you can talk shit. Until then get back in Mommy's basement

  • ya no toca como antes! que mal...

  • If you are a true guitar taste lover then you should check out Joel Kent's Vivid Dream Depiction on Spotify!

  • 1:28 that face.....says more than words

  • see my incredible solo on youtube!! /watch?v=tqiF0y3yJeE

  • @andreavr87 Ha Ha Ha Not a chance in Hell

  • Perfect!!!

  • MAY THE LIGHT OF GODS MUSIC KEEP US ALL BLESSED IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. AMEN

  • Satriani is the best bar none. He's inventive, intelligent, melodic, funky, masterful...the total fucking package.

  • @DONDIVA1969 he seems a bit cocky - not that that wouldn't be justified - but is he?

  • @foxfairandbalanced He's just performing, apparently he's chilled and cool in person.

  • @foxfairandbalanced I hope you are wrong..let's just say he is lost in the moment and just feeling his music

  • @foxfairandbalanced Cocky? Not in the LEAST. Please do your research (from over the last 35+ years). "Satch" is one of the most renouned, self-taught rock guitarists.....ever....without self-centeredness. He just loves what he does...and performs it...to perfection. One could possibly take him as cocky...if not familiar with him, but, believe me, he's a genuine artist with a personal passion for music.

  • @foxfairandbalanced I bet your pretty Cocky when your masturbating in Mammas Basement too but he sell shows and well then there is you

  • i love joe

  • Incredible! Voltemort lives!

  • My ears had a little bit of an orgasm.

  • woot top two coments are not tumb up whores?!

  • ibanez players have an individual soloing style

  • Drummer is something special!! Just amazing work!!

  • satch is the personification of music

  • What kinda China is this drummer playing? (6:23)

    An 'upside down'?

    Can't find this cimbal anywhere.....

    Love the sound of it!

  • You would think Ibanez would build him a cooler looking guitar but guess not

  • @johnchang7 doesn't really matter :) satch is satch

  • I didn't know Voldermort could play the guitar. Wicked!

  • all it can say is when he plays and man he can PLAY my body gets goosebumps the hair on my neck goes up and i tingle its moving and i could fall asleep to his smooth yet pulsing guitar playing

  • jimi lives in his fingers.

  • he sure is living proof that there not one kind of guitar playing talent it moves you just like when jimi played

  • is it me or does the neck on Satch's guitar look really wide ??

  • Joe liked my blog!!!

  • Rockriver126 is right

  • He is an amazing skilfull guitarrist but he does not rock! he does not have it, may b he can play better then Hendrix and Jimmy but i dont like his style, i see no pasion in this. I gues its ether you r born with it or you dont. To me this is tricky but empty, i havent felt a fucking thing music can be more simple but more powerfull, and if you look at this closely this is simple!!!. Sounds like some futuristic kind of thing! not bad thou, thanks for posting!!!

  • @rockriver126 simple to you and thats your opinion many others would disagree

  • @rockriver126 then post a cover of u playing it.

  • Funny,I belive that onlive sounds better than the recorded one XD, but as a matter on fact, i think you're right at least in a 50%, this is tricky, and in some parts i can't feel a thing, but then it start to flow. The only one that can really feel something is the one that is playing,if he can't transmit that to you then he needs to live more to be the best one. Also i don't think that this should be called "Rock",this is something else...not sure what is it, but it isnt normal rock

  • the most creative and inspirational guitarist of all time!

  • Man he make that gutar sing.and I love that drumer.boy his he good.it seem so simple but it so good

  • best guitarist around... 2nd to none..

  • Satriani makes my anger dissipate, or some other large word that means "diminish".

  • I like the part when Satriani plays

  • 1.28 "I'd tap that for sure, oh yeah I would.. "

  • Man he can make that guitar sing!!

  • Can you watch my cover for this song please? It helps alot!

    /watch?v=ivnVAsPp6fY

    Thanks!

  • Nectar for the God's,what a treat.

  • Nectar for the god's,what a treat.

  • eddie and steve cant hold a candle to the satch

  • he should play some fender, or gibson, this ibanez sounds too much plastic...

  • @joemrda84 it sounds plastic? :O are you deaf? It sounds fuckin sweet!

  • @mazingguitar it's just my impression. doesn't sound naturally to me..

  • why does everybody like EVH so much when we got guitarrists like joe and steve??

  • Eddie may be the God of the Axe but Satriani is the closest next best thing

  • It's songs like this one that make me realise... I have so much to learn...

  • this song still rocks.

  • awesome music

  • A very tasty use of acoustic guitar in the background... it sounds like a piano

  • Great song!

  • Satriani kick ASS

  • 265 morrons have srious problem

  • say all you want haters... this song says for its own. if someone says he's not good, there are lots of guys that are better or anything else, just try to be better than him... then, u can say whatever you want. for now, just listen to a perfect song composed by a complete player... i say that and still likes vai more kkkkkkkkk he's not highly successful and an inspiration for everyone after him just beacuse he's cool ;D

  • It is a crime and a joke that "Rolling Stone" magazine did not include Joe in their "100 Top

Rock Guitarists" of All-Time!!! I had the pleasure of recording 5 original songs with Joe in June

of 1978 at the Automatt Studios in San Francisco,California with my band, the Phil Frazier

band.I co-wrote the two classic-rock songs "Cruisin' The Strip" and "Super Dose." Joe played

lead guitar on all 5 songs.Google "Phil Frazier "Cruisin' The Strip" On CD Baby" to listen.

  • was fortunate enough to interview Mr. Satriani after his tour with Deep Purple, around this time in the early nineties. He was gracious and The coolest. Still flying . Our Modern Day Virtuoso

just gets better thru the years.

    this is My Favorite Video

  • Well I said I had an open mind so I will check out some more of his stuff. Thanks guys.

  • Hey!

Just posted my latest song to youtube so please check it out over on my channel!!

    Thanks!!

  • I don't get this sort of music at all sorry.Playing notes for the sake of playing notes. No soul or feeling in there whatsoever in my opinion.I wanted to listen properly with an open mind to see why so many people rate him as a guitarist, but I just don't get it.Miles Davis said "It's not the notes you play,.. it's the notes you don't play." Joe doesnt seem to have the ability to leave any gaps anywhere. Its just too self indulgent. BUt thats just my opinion. If you like it, then enjoy!!!

  • @conanliquid DUDE what?!

dude, seriously listen too more of his stuff!!! i would recomand you 'Solitude' by Joe satriani, if you wan't to hear notes tht he doesn't play.

  • @skypjuh i agree the man is awesome i saw him at chrysler arena with mulmstien and vie and i was crush by him above the rest and when they got on together I thought satchmo was the best of them all

p.s it was in annarbor michigan

  • @conanliquid as far as i am concerned joe can self indulge all he wants

  • @conanliquid

    But*

  • @conanliquid You don't like songs without lyrics fine. To each his own and you can't account for taste. You are missing a lot though. To me this music is so powerful and soulful and emotional. You would probably say the same about Bach's hits.

  • @Almario95 who the fuck is that?

  • I watched this guy do it live with 3000 other fans it was so fucking awesome I was in the dream with him I'm to old to get to see him again but I have all his music you've got to be there to feel it!!

  • @mac21491 right on brother we all get older i am 47 and still sponser and work metal shows and as soon as i stop i will perish

be cool and keep rocking it makes you young again ...

  • @mac21491 Saw him myself in the old Oakland Coliseum between John Fogerty and The Dead. He made them pale in comparison.

  • seems like he's masturbating with music in the last .. :)

    but he's damn good...!!!!

  • jesus has anyone seen the size of joes pedal rack hes got like 100 different pedals on there so thats his secret

  • what can you say..........only one thing to say....there will never be anybody even come close to this mans level of skill and structure.....never was,,,never will...hes a fucking alien for all intensive purposes and i have loved his music completely since he first came out in 1982....hats always off to you joe...your friend ...Steven casady

  • Joe Satriani breaks you ... ;)

  • lydian :]

  • Feeling, Técnica, Classe, Genialidade, Harmonia

    O Musico Completo!

  • I love it I love the sound

  • I still can't believe he wasn't in the ranks of 100 greatest guitarists...that was total bullshit

  • I helped set up this show

  • 2006 and them use cables :D

  • Comment removed

  • i love this man... i love how hes just a regular dude with a godly skill but doesn't act like god himself on stage... like Vai lol

  • Satriani is one of the best guitar players like hendrix or steve vai or petrucci or even satch its not whos the best evrey one has his own style and its wrong to compare!

  • @aramyounes

But you are just talking about rock guitarists...

Satriani, Vai, Petrucci... etc... are good guitarists, they are very good... But they just do rock music...

None of those guys would be able to approach even half of the level of masters such as Sabicas, Paco Peña or Ana Vidovic...

  • @Almario95 Petrucci does jazz,fusion too y'noe

  • @Almario95 well i guess i will have to noteate them and give them a listen "peace"

  • We all love Joe!!! How could you not love tight guitar rock with a positive vibe that sounds like flying in a blue dream!! Merry Christmas to all the Satch fans out there!!!!

  • i belive that the intrumental music can say more than a million words, I like the way satriani play.

  • All of his songs sound the same...

    That's so boring...

  • asdasfwetaewteryrehyerhytrhtrhj

  • This video is my inspiration to play guitar

  • that has to be the best sounding effects loop ever. I've got the EVH 5150 III, and it sounds great. But man nothing like this. So smooth with just a little bite to it. It doesn't get any better than this. Oh and not to mention the best sounding Wah ever.

  • the best of guitar heroes mais le plus grand a mes yeux restera le maitre mister jimmy hendrix.

  • ai vem nego me falar que slash é o melhor do mundo, Senta lá slash (y)

  • Only Joe can soloing 8 minutes.

  • VOLDEMORT CAN PLAY!

  • nice

    band...

  • screw: new country, new rock, punk, rap, dubstep. new music is not artistic at all, just loads of fakes an egos walking around... :/

  • @jinjanco23 I take it that you produce music then. Show us YOUR music. Music that You've composed.

  • @vstman you don't need to be able to produce music to know what good music is. i am guessing your one of those mindless fucks who thinks LMFAO is a good band or even Kiss is a good band...sad sad generation.

  • One of the greatest....An old friend of mine turned me on to his music. When I first heard him in the 90s, I was amazed at his sound and talent.

  • meh, a bald guido wanker with sunglasses making idiotic faces and spewing out (yet) another load of generic, textureless and soulless sh!t porridge. yes, satch is not your typical wankeroso, but it still boils down to the same fucking point - this is sonic viagra for arrogant businessmen and car-racer-should-have-beens who think they're into complex music whereas they indulge into useless showpiece of futile acrobatics. as bland and conventional as big-dildo-fux-a-female-object pom. yes!

  • @EITrollo I'm a liberal lesbian amputee and I like Satch, so you can cram your "meh" and your presumptuous attitude up your ass, it'll fit nicely alongside your dad's massive collection of super-size dildos. yes!

  • @fiz liberal is the problematic part, as i so knowledgeably predicted. in fact, i wanted to point that fact out in my previous post - this is "liberal" ("hard work", short sight, my ass first, hence nice flats, fast cars and expensive gadgets ethics) music first and foremost. so if it wasn't for liberalism, being a lesbian amputee would have turned out to be an advantage - it would have taken you to something worthwhile (i. e. alternative). try voting republicans next time. it might help.

  • @EITrollo Well...I was going to reply with a well thought out answer to what you said, then I saw your name. Piss off you trolling bastard.

  • @Mangoeeeeeeees well thought out ass of a reply. that's what you meant. and that's what it is. piss off wanker.

  • im 14 and if it wasnt for joe, he wouldnt have inspired me to pick up a guitar and play, everytime i hear him it gives that extra bit more inspiration to keep playing :)

  • I just came out of my ass.

  • @loungerenownrecords. Totally agree with you, but lets face it, Rolling Stone magazine put Ringo Starr in their top ten drummers list. I dont know how they come up with their top whatever lists but its obviously not based on talent otherwise Satch would be there

  • Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci. Find me 3 better rock guitarists alive today.

  • @thestarsmydestinyy Gilbert, Friedman :D

  • This is it right here. My favorite Satriani song ever. He has a bunch of great ones but this is Joe at his writing and playing best. He just kills on this video too. Peace.

  • goooooooooooood

  • I always wanted to comment on guitar players of this skill level and all the arguments between who is better why care? and to be honest once a player reaches this level they are in a league with all the other greats. you can't compare guitarists because truthfully they all have their own unique style that makes them amazing!!!

  • i used to fly in a blue dream, until i took an arrow to the knee

  • @willyballz skyrim jokes in a satriani video..... i love it

  • the music flows from his mouth that's why it's always remain open.... !!!

  • Do you like me?!!

  • I've been playing for two years. I envy Joe's amazing skill!!!!!

  • Satch is the man. End of.

  • One of the greatest electric-guitar virtuoso's that ever lived!!! It is a crime and an outrage

that Rolling Stone magazine did not include Joe Satriani in its very recent issue "The Top

100 Rock Guitarists Of All Time." My band in 1978,the Phil Frazier band, recorded 5 of our

original songs at The Automatt studios in San Francisco.I co-wrote the two classic-rock

songs "Cruisin' The Strip" and "Super Dose." Joe played lead guitar on all 5 songs.

    "I Want Yo' Number."

  • @loungerenownrecords well some people just don't get it, the concept of true talent...it's a shame

  • @loungerenownrecords If Kirk Hammet (his failed experiment) is on 11...satch would be 100 places above the number 1....

  • he bores me... is like a computer playing, I take Hendrix any day

  • @CPOLLERO I'm one of the biggest Hendrix fans there is but find that comment difficult to believe. Satriani has far more depth to his compositions.. boring he is not from a guitar player aspect. Perhaps its the fact that Satch is 99.9% purely instrumental player and you need vocals to fill out your listening experience? I know my wife doesnt like Satch for this same reason.. Satch loves Hendrix and I'm pretty sure Jimi would have loved Satch's approach too.

  • @guitarplayer4real see that's how a genres such as rap, pop and this mainstream country now can be successful and a guys like Satch,Steve Vai,MAB, Malsteen,Paul Gilbert, etc. won't be. People in general are just so infatuated with lyrics its ridiculous. Kudos to these guys for sticking with it

  • @guitarplayer4real Agreed.

  • @CPOLLERO Jealous piece of shit.

  • FU

  • fuck harry poter vlodamort just raped him with these mental tunes. oh shit i said voldamort

  • studio guy? his live shows kick #&^*$T# ASS 1/2 the guitar players suck Live He is Alive and kicking ass We are watching Him play live and your saing he's a "STUDIO GUY" I have seen him Live maybe 7 times and nobody even comes close LIVE !

  • I love satriani but I feel like he's more of a studio guy rather than a live performer. Still plays Awsome aha

  • this whole album was a kick ass album!!!

  • Funny, i pretty much only play acoustic and i time i hear this break out the electric and try to not suck at that.

  • my favorite song, at 55, kicks butt, Thanks for bein' there.

  • very well!!!! mto bom!!

  • I remember the first time my dad played me this.. blew my mind!

  • @teenmetalfreak3 your dad really can play this you are lucky

  • Fret board masturbation causes eargasms

  • I can't belive this guy is 55 years old, he looks like he's in his 30's!

  • @888reggae Maybe he's happy!

  • @888reggae Music keeps you young! Well..., great music keeps you young:-)

  • @888reggae I know , I think he looks older with hair lol

  • @888reggae w000t

  • @888reggae HE'S 55 ? :O O_O
