  • Im on a diet and i thought this wus okay

  • This is a wonderful video and very informative. It is wonderful to know that there is money in garbage.

  • Amazing how much money you save and energy you save by recycling. 95%!

  • 10 people do not recycle

  • wow

  • local job search careerstartnow(dot)info find a job today

  • All I saw was cans being shaped into a square. I don't think this is recycling

  • human population MUST be reduced by mandatory vasectomies. ?!!?!?!

I got an Idea, Lets remove you from the human Gene Pool Densmorea

  • Recycle people if you don't...

  • hmmmmmm what if we made cars COMPLETLY out of aluminum

  • @yttocs5991 it would be more expencive to buy

  • I recycle.

  • aluminum rules

  • :40 Aluminum is like a bitch?

  • @:15 Looks like steel cans to me; no colors hardly. Are they too lazy to use actual aluminum footage?

  • Recycle For The Planet Earth :)

  • Reminds me of Wall.E

  • visi globalgreenrecycling net

  • University named Daniel Benjamin, whom studied environmental topics. He notes that “people have been told that recycling will save resources, safe the environment, and save humankind itself.” We feel now we can consume more and the recycling industry will make use of the waste so no harm on the environment. There are three misconceptions that need to be understood. That is, Plastic is not even profitable, the landfills are not as deadly as you think, and the media is one to blame.

  • @Densmorea Nobody who recycles or is concerned about the environment tells anybody to "consume more". Their message has ALWAYS been "reduce, reuse, recycle", in decreasing order of importance, and you know it.

The throwaway landfill-society has certainly encouraged "consume more", because it completely encourages IGNORING the consequences of consumption.

I agree with you: human population MUST be reduced by mandatory vasectomies. All the recycling in the world won't change that.

  • Recycling is a waste itself

Everyone thinks it’s the right thing to do. It’s the most popular multi-race movement in the history of the United States. I am here today to persuade you that recycling is a waste itself. The truth is recycling has been promoted so much since plastic manufactures or any recyclable manufactures are now allowed to produce even more. Since the public will approve and figure well we can just recycle this waste. There is a professor of economics at Clemson.

  • i think the guy will find that a sqare is a 2d shape were as these "sqares" are in fact 3d and a cuboid

  • 'Perfectly square bales'?? Hardly.

Why is that Americans have to dramatise or exaggerate everything?

  • recycle all aluminum or cease to produce!

  • the way they say aluminum is funny :D

  • I was feeding can into a recycling machine here in Oregon, where we have container deposits, and it took a Sapporo beer can I had which happened to be steel. Do the recycle mills have magnetic retrieval to get that steel can out of the aluminum stream?

  • they are all mexican =/

  • Recycling aluminium requires only 5% of the energy needed to create pure aluminium from Bauxite. :D

  • Fantastic Video, full of Good Info

  • Indeed ... It NEVER dies!

  • i hope you all enjoy drinking beer and soda pop... because sometimes at night time i dont like getting out of bed to take a piss so i just reach for the nearest empty can and release myself in it. yeah... thats right.. i pee in pop cans... taste my urine

  • lol at :39 he say aluminum is like a bitch nothing goes to waste xD

  • what does he say at 0:42, sounds like "aluminium is like a b***h, but that can't be right

  • @iheartseizures fish?? or dish?

  • @iheartseizures pig?

  • sick of the commercials....firefox adblock plus

    thumbs up

  • Cool!!! I have never seen that many aluminum cans like that in one place!

  • In the 1600's the aluminium in 1 can would have been worth FAR more than its weight in gold, now its worth a dollar a pound.

  • does that mean everybody drinks at least one can a day???

  • I want more money in Oregon when I trade these things in now.

  • I'm also sick of these fucking commercials!

  • You are a wasteful person. The paper you write on is recycled.

  • save them than, aluminium is worth about a dollar a pound at the scrap yard. thats why hobos collect them.

  • couple of commercials... nice.

    didn't even watch it.

  • @jimbobillybob1202 Why do you write in proper English instead of criticizing Mexican? What does the video have to do with Mexicans? Everyone collects cans......

  • Recycling aluminium uses just 5% of the energy needed to produce the original material

  • lolx... any1 got full episode?

    2mins+ is 2 short!!!!!

    importants are cut out

    =_______=

  • 0:38 what does he say? Aluminum is like a _____

  • He says aluminum is like a fetus...

  • lol thx :D

  • I think he means phoenix.

  • Fish.

  • I bet half of those bottles have paper in them

  • I wonder why they dont have more seperated trashcans around. plastic/paper/cans/bio

  • Amazing what the world is coming to..

I wonder what the future has to offer.

  • Unfortunately, aluminum may potentiate neurotoxic affects on our brains. It is too bad we use so much of this element! I'd recommend avoiding it in food and beverage products for health.

  • WHAT?!?!

that is a bunch of bullshit who ever told you that should be shot

your thinking of lead or mercury

  • You are wrong. Also, I think you should watch your mouth and learn some etiquette when you respond to posts. Metals can certainly be toxins and therefore ones you ingest into your body (including aluminum) can cause toxicity. Alzheimer's disease is quite possibly potentiated by aluminum ingestion over the lifetime.

  • for one there is no proof (or not enough) to state that it can cause any problems down the road if it were so they would not use it in canned soda's, foods, and juices because of the acids the enamle based paintes and liners do more damage than the the cans itself

there is more proof that plastics causing problems than aluminum

there are more support for getting plastics banned in food and drink storage than aluminum

  • 1:05 how the fuck did they get the cans inside xDDD

  • you know, thats a good question

  • wow !

  • I'll drink to that...

  • @ yaaakky: i agree

  • What a numbnuts. Two thirds of the aluminum is still in existence? I think what he meant to say was 2/3 is still being used and recycled.

  • @cbrzyx Or that 2/3 of all aluminum used was recycled? lol

  • @cbrzyx yeah lmao...

  • @cbrzyx

1/3 of the aluminum was sent on the sun.

  • cool video.

  • I worked, for several years, as a Security Officer, at Kaiser Aluminum Recycling so, I have seen the whole process.

  • Jose - did you DROP OUT of high school?

  • It would be nice if this video was in the correct aspect ratio (16:9) not (4:3)

  • cool

  • virgin materials.

  • if commercial studios are going to post videos under the title of "shows", youtube should only allow full shows. no short 2min excerpts. might as well be lumped in with all short clips in the general junk.

  • I agree

  • Why don't they use a magnet to remove paper and plastic..

  • Aluminum isn't magnetic.

  • Oh.. you're right..

  • Paper and Plastic isnt Magnetic either XD

  • This is why I cringe when somebody throws aluminum in the trash... it makes so much sense to recycle that there is no excuse not to

  • why spell and say aluminium wrong?

  • al-you-min-ee-um

  • LOL What!?

  • lol @ thrash can

  • I'll think about that when I have my next can of anything. Here in The Netherlands they're starting with the collection of plastic packaging material for recycling.

  • I heard somewhere that they're just shipping plastic shit to Asia .... :/

  • That makes no sense...

  • It sure doesn't (if your replying to Natual?)

  • cool. i didn't know recycling is that helpful

  • It's good that their recycling!

  • About two-thirds of the aluminum ever made is still in existence... The other one-third is in aluminum paradise having sex with 72 tin cans on a sheet on Reynolds wrap.

  • hahaha thats funny man [up 1]

  • "The other one-third is in aluminum paradise..."

That was actually pretty damned funny.

  • Oh my God, people talking about religions on an environmental video. How stupid can people get?

  • Cool. My boyfriend works at a Aluminum factory and his company buys those cans and makes them into bars an resales them.

  • i wish people who dont recycle suffer.

if only everything we waste is recyclable, like rubber.

  • lol they need wall-e's

  • L2PRONOUNCE

    Al-u-mi-ni-um

    Not alu-minum

  • fuck up brits say

    ah lu mini um

    its the same shit

    color

    colour

  • Everyone in North America says alu-min-um.

  • thats how it should be pronounced everywhere.

  • i usually say aloo-min-ium [british]

  • A hobo's wet dream.

  • Recycling! It's a good thing, keep doing that.

  • interesting

  • From an economic stand point, it's more feasible to recycle than mine it. Takes 1/10 the energy to recycle it than to mine it.

    Energy=Money

  • VIVA LA RECYCLECION !!!

  • @GoGoserGo

He no German here big boy, ENGRISH... :P

  • not enough people recycle. HUMANS NEED TO BE EXTERMINATED

  • Not enough governments impose the overall good of man kind on the world.

  • In USA they are like treating this like rocket sciense.. In Europe, we have been doing this for like aaages.. xD

  • In my country that is atheist, we have one of the lowest rates of crime in the world. (yes, it is true. A nation can live peacefully without ur God)

And the americans should have started recycling stuff LONG AGO! They are like almost the main reason of the global warming problem. *_*

  • 0_o we could destroy you with one hand...

  • The aluminum can and the associated recycling processes were first developed in the US.

  • because like it is like "rocket sciense"

  • Its "HowStuffWorks", it does not say anything about it being new or a wild concept, as we have been doing this for "aaages".

This was for teaching the young and the dumb, because once again its called "HowStuffWorks".

  • Will you shut up about Europe. As you can see these people in the video are Americans, they live in the greatest country on the planet, you can take your atheist Europe and shove it where the sun don't shine

  • atheist europe? lol, you know where religion came from?

greatest country on the planet? YES! that's why the country is in fact bankrupt and has 50.000 dept for each person in america lol. freaking idiot.

  • i live in Europe, usa is not the whole earth...

    idiot

  • oh it is my friend... you just dont know yet

  • well actually it is, u just dont know it yet, you fuck with america, you wont live another day to see the world. buddy!

  • It doesn't matter where you live, the USA can kick your ass anytime

  • You are making assholes of Americans everywhere every time you open your mouth to purport this brand of idiocy. So don't open your mouth.

  • aluminium
