  • Americain started his career on the turf in France. Then was sent to America, where he raced under Todd Pletcher's tutelage. But never really fired in the U.S. He's since been sent from France to Australia. Where he's found the best form of his career in 2010. Having won the G3 Geelong Cup. A major Melbourne Cup prep. Then Americain followed up the Geelong Cup win by taking the race that stops a nation. Winning the 2010 G1 Melbourne Cup. He's quite a colt. IMO
