3:15-3:19 is the sickest thing ever done on the show. Delilah was by far the second best group this season, so insane they didn't make it to the final.

@AmAnDaLyNn1028 Because of the amount of air and breath control you use when singing/performing, you do literally expand around your middle if you're breathing properly. One of the first things any good voice coach tells their student is to not "suck in," but rather to "get fat," e.g. let your stomach out so that the diaphragm can do its work. Woot!

Thank you so much for putting this montage together! As much as I love Pentatonix, I have to confess that I don't remember their first few performances. They didn't really capture my attention until they did "Video Killed The Radio Star." I was hooked from then on (smile). Once Afro-Blue was eliminated, I knew Pentatonix was going to win The Sing-Off. I couldn't be happier...can't wait for the new CD to come out!
Deerych, I'd definitely say Afro-Blue had more complex chords and probably had more complicated harmonies, but it's a lot easier to build those things when you have twice the number of people. Pentatonix makes the most of what they've got, and they manage to add a little extra that people don't expect. That's what puts them above.
I like how I sing along to each of the songs but ONLY to Avi's part. Being a former baritone in my high school choir, it's nice to see a fellow bassist tear it up on the Sing-Off (much respect to Reggie from Afro Blue as well). I can't do the overtone parts though lol.
They can sing, but seemed unforgettable to me...with simple harmonies. The lead guy sounds good. I still say Afro Blue ran circles around them musically. (i.e. harmonies, leads, arrangements, swag) Not hating, just observing.

Ugggh Scott's reggae breakdown in Sugarland's Stuck Like Glue. Best part of that song. My other favorites include Kevin and Avi's intro to Born to be Wild, the crazy skip thing they all do in Video Killed the Radio Star, and Mitch's solo in Dog Days Are Over.

when watching this amazing group i never felt like they were competing, they were so natural and having a great time with the audience that makes their talent that much more amazing. they are great at what they do and they love doing it in any venue.
They seem like such a nice bunch of kids, and I love at the end when Avi says "this is my family now, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, and I want to do it with them". I know they get help from vocal coaches and choreographers, but once they're onstage they have to do it all, and they even nail the non-vocal stuff. Like how they all fall back to give somebody their solo. The first change up in the Britney medley is like a rotating carousel. The way Mitch and Kirstie pop out fro

@dansgrl13 And also, Pentatonix, Dartmouth aires, vocal point, and even a little urban method showed that they were very versatile. Afro blue specialized in jazz, and maybe a little country. their performances of other genres were good, but were never like "wow, that was great!" like those other four groups. And this is JUST MY OPINION, but I felt that afro blue never really did anything with their songs. They had amazing harmonies and some good soul, but almost too...boring of performances.
@dansgrl13 I don't know, man! Afro Blue had some really good harmonies, and i feel that their performance of "Dance with Somebody" was stellar. But i don't think they were very....idk the word....they weren't very 'intoxicating', for lack of a better word. They basically did very similar things every week. The thing about Pentatonix and even a little of Dartmouth Aires, was that they had a surprise almost every time. They were toxic! :D
Although Darmouth Aires and Vocal point were fantastic, and Urban method and afro blue were ok, Pentatonix really deserved to win :)) SO glad they did. like seriously, IM SUPPOSED TO BE LISTENING TO CHRISTMAS MUSIC right now, but i CAN'T stop listening to Pentatonix!!! "Video killed the Radio Star' is when i knew they would win. It was waywayway better than anything on the show, prior. And they just kept doing it. Each week they were the best. There was a code, and they cracked it early.
Love Kevin at 18:28 & 22:19. Subtle, but I remember watching those performances for the first time and really appreciating his emotion at those specific parts.
And more importantly, Scott from 24:10 - 24:22 is sooo amazing, especially at the end of that part. Omg how sexy is that!! Ughh. And don't even mention "Let's Get It On"...Idk what would happen to me if I saw him perform that live (x Seriously Scott, HOT DAMN!! <3

@blubandit24: I'm 99% sure that's not how it went down... Scott Hoying attends USC where he sings with the SoCal VoCals. Per everything they've ever said in intervies he apparently watched the Sing-Off said "I can totally win that"... looked on youtube for a beatboxer, found Kevin, who said "OK" then he called up Avi and the rest of his old trio from high school and was like "I've already bought you guys plane tickets. You're coming to LA and we're going to win the Sing Off."
Never did the judges commended Avi's overtone singing, singing a note over another. Of the three seasons, only him could do it. 01:06 TRULY TRANSCENDENTAL ON ANOTHER LEVEL.

Dartmouth Aires were good....and some of their performances were absolutely jaw dropping....but they were for the most part stable....meaning that they never got better as the show advanced towards the finale whereas Pentatonix kept getting better and better.

@dansgrl13 And also, Pentatonix, Dartmouth aires, vocal point, and even a little urban method showed that they were very versatile. Afro blue specialized in jazz, and maybe a little country. their performances of other genres were good, but were never like "wow, that was great!" like those other four groups. And this is JUST MY OPINION, but I felt that afro blue never really did anything with their songs. They had amazing harmonies and some good soul, but almost too...boring of performances.

@dansgrl13 I don't know, man! Afro Blue had some really good harmonies, and i feel that their performance of "Dance with Somebody" was stellar. But i don't think they were very....idk the word....they weren't very 'intoxicating', for lack of a better word. They basically did very similar things every week. The thing about Pentatonix and even a little of Dartmouth Aires, was that they had a surprise almost every time. They were toxic! :D

Although Darmouth Aires and Vocal point were fantastic, and Urban method and afro blue were ok, Pentatonix really deserved to win :)) SO glad they did. like seriously, IM SUPPOSED TO BE LISTENING TO CHRISTMAS MUSIC right now, but i CAN'T stop listening to Pentatonix!!! Its so frusterating in a good way :D

@ghareil dude i just noticed that a couple days ago too! but i didn't want to say it bc i've been obsessing over him so much already (x haha. he always had them exposed in all but 3 of their performances..i wonder if he's trying to make that his subtle signature look, or maybe he's conscious of his tallness and feels it doesn't make his arms look that long? idk! lol..but i like it! Love Kevin at 18:28 & 22:19. Subtle, but I remember watching those performances for the first time and really appreciating his emotion at those specific parts.
And more importantly, Scott from 24:10 - 24:22 is sooo amazing, especially at the end of that part. Omg how sexy is that!! Ughh. And don't even mention "Let's Get It On"...Idk what would happen to me if I saw him perform that live (x Seriously Scott, HOT DAMN!! <3

Per everything they've ever said in intervies he apparently watched the Sing-Off said "I can totally win that"... looked on youtube for a beatboxer, found Kevin, who said "OK" then he called up Avi and the rest of his old trio from high school and was like "I've already bought you guys plane tickets. You're coming to LA and we're going to win the Sing Off."

Dartmouth Aires were good....and some of their performances were absolutely jaw dropping....but they were for the most part stable....meaning that they never got better as the show advanced towards the finale whereas Pentatonix kept getting better and better.
