After getting his wipers, Mr. Lyda (sales mgr) asked Mr. Morrall if he was the QB from 72 and he said "Yes I am!" and put his hands on the counter and his right hand had the '72 superbowl ring. Mr. Lyda NEARLY passed out. LOL
He filled the gap in fine fashion. my greatest memories of football.

He's the completely forgoten heor of the Dolphins undefeated season. His Superbowl V performance is rarely if ever cited.
I guess that SB III performance really dogged him. The flea flea-flicker play. ..........oh man !!

Redemption comes with perfection. He did more than babysit the offense for 11 games until Griese came back.
